do these need to be refrigerated?

These Mealworms should be stored in a cool, dry place. The worms are packed to survive up to 10 days in the bag they arrive in. Simply open the bag upon delivery and inspect to ensure you see nice active, live worms. Now add a half cup of water and a tablespoon of cornmeal or oatmeal directly to the bag. Tie the bag back up and keep in a room temperature environment. Repeat these steps every 2 or 3 days until your worms are ready for their new home.

What kind of packing do they come in?

Worms are packed in dry peat moss and placed inside a special breathable bag. From there, they are shipped inside a sturdy mailing box.

Can you please tell me the simple instructions that come with it?

The instructions are to rinse off any packing materials from the earthworms and serve on a clean dish.

Best container for these larvae.

The bag they came in is keeping them healthy. I use these mealworms for my lizards, mantis, quail/s, chickens, & sometimes my cat gets a couple of them!

I ordered these to be shipped to Texas mid-summer, so I was fully prepared for half of my worms to die in shipment. It was a much better deal than buying from the pet store, and I figured I would still have enough live worms to start my farm. I am floored at how few of my worms died in transit. These worms had to be healthy when they were shipped to be as active as they were when they arrived. I have bought from Uncle Jim’s Worm Farm before and would recommend them to anyone. A few years ago I ordered a large batch of worms for the garden, and the whole yard looks better year after year. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

They are perfect in size for my Marmoset

My Marmoset loves snacking on these little worms all day, I wish they were easier to get the worms out of the bag. I tried a strainer type gadget it wasn’t any help
