What material is the box? If the cat urinates outside of the pan but inside the box will it damage the enclosure?

The Box Enclosure is made of wood. When quickly taken care of, liquids will not damage the interior or exterior of the enclosure. Clean by a damp cloth with the mild detergent and check the hardware regularly to ensure all be tightened.

This piece is of decent quality. It looks nice in my home, matches my mahogany furniture, and helps contain both litter and oder. It is made of particle board, which is a little disappointing for this price, but it's about the same sturdiness as Ikea furniture, which retails for similar prices. It is not, however as easy to assemble as Ikea furniture. Tools are not included, and the instructions are a little unclear at times. It was annoying to assemble alone, and some of the pieces do not align perfectly (the doors refuse to sit at the same height, for one), but once its all together it serves its purpose well, and will presumable last longer than the plastic alternatives.

Customer service and box looks good

I had received the box with a broken piece and emailed the customer support. I got a response within an hour telling me they would send another one out. Assembly

The box looks good in my back room (mud room) and keeps most litter inside. I wish it could handle more weight on top but it serves its purpose well.

That being said, it could be my user error so I’m only taking one star off. Hoping our girl likes to use it!

It was kinda clear it had been used before, the wood glue is showing, my kitten was sniffing around it like she does when she smells another cat and there was a sticky foam piece on it. The doors are also kinda crooked. She hasn’t gotten litter on the ground since I got it though and that was the goal. It also looks A LOT better than just free standing litter boxes.

Quite small but functional.

Although I knew the measurements beforehand, I think it's a bit small for a larger cat and litter box. I didn't realize how tall his big boy litter boxes was. So

Although I knew the measurements beforehand, I think it's a bit small for a larger cat and litter box. I didn't realize how tall his big boy litter boxes was. So although it technically fit in the cabinet, he had zero headroom. So I switched to a really short travel box. It just has to be cleaned more often. But it really helps keep him from splattering litter all over the walls. I recommend leaving the side doors open until your cat gets used to the enclosed space. It was easy to build for me because I'm a seasoned builder, IKEA certified. But it takes time.
