    sizing is important

The sides do not come up high enough. I have a lot of litter on the floor. I think it is the big cat getting too happy scratching at it. Next time I will get one higher.

    Not for large cats

    By on

I purchased this litter box for my arthritic cat. It’s fine for her. My other cat if a big boy and he kicks out a large amount of litter while using this pan. So, if you have one cat who needs a shallower litter box, this works for you. We are still using it and sweeping.

    Its a litter box...

I bought this item to replace a corner litter box that my cat didn't seem to have enough turnaround space in. Size wise, this pan is probably better for a smaller cat as my girl seems a bit cramped in it. The lip around the top is pretty flimsy, but does keep the litter from flying all directions when she uses it. It also cuts into her usable space which I should have taken into consideration. The pan is not quite deep enough to fill with 2-3 inches of litter, and as a result I am sweeping up quite a bit of litter each day that she kicks out the opening when using the pan. All in all, for the price it's a good pan, but I would suggest it for a kitten or small breed cat, or for someone who puts I bought this item to replace a corner litter box that my cat didn't seem to have enough turnaround space in. Does What it is Meant to

I got this because my 12 year old cat started peeing over the edge as she couldn't squat as far down. I am happy with this product so far but it is quite small size wise.

    Poor Design

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I bought these boxes to replace three others from a different brand and I regret it! They are much, MUCH shallower than you'd think (even after looking at the measurements) and the frame to keep the liner in place does not work AT ALL, thus my cats are either knocking off the frame and making a mess, or pulling the liner into the box and (you guessed it) making a mess. I normally like Van Ness and their affordable products, however these boxes were a sore disappointment and I'm finding I have to buy new ones already just to avoid the mess that comes with these boxes. Pink is the new Blue

    By on

The male cats in our household are disappointed that the "blue" litter pan actually "pink." Mia (the only female cat) is so excited by the color that she could pee in excitement - luckily there is a girly litter box for her to do that. Other than a disagreement on the color, the cats give this litter pan five stars. It's seemed to become their favorite litter pan.

    Digging to China?!?

I have two adult male cats although they fit in the boxes I think an extra large would have been better. The guard on top helps keep the litter inside the box when my crew starts excavations litter is everywhere!

    Happy Cat Lady

Putting new boxes in place for some of my cats who need individual housing...excellent size for cages, and now i have a fresh one for the storm shelter! I am pleased with the edge that keeps those side-pee-rs in the box, and best of all, they were on sale!! +

    Great for my handicapped kitty!

    By on

The blue section of this litter box is lower than the average litter box, so my little CH kitty can get into it more easily. The extra part makes it less likely that litter will be kicked out. The box is lighter and easier for me to lift.

    Does what it's supposed to

    By on

I have found out that my new kitten is a litter flinger, even though he's still a "baby" (2 months old), he FLINGS litter in every direction possible. The sides don't prevent the tiny kitten from throwing litter everywhere. I might have to get him an enclosed litter box like his big sister.
