Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Some products that are safe for dogs are NOT safe for use around cats. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat is it safe to use on the dogs with a cat in the house?
Answer by ChewyJun 22, 2020
Due to their unique physiology and inability to metabolize the permethrin in Vectra 3D® for Dogs, this product must not be used on cats. As a precaution, when using this product in households with both dogs and cats, please keep the dog(s) that have been treated with a Vectra 3D® product separated from cats until the product has completely dried. Once dry, cats and dogs may again interact freely. Average drying time for Vectra 3D is 6-8 hours however drying times can vary. To ensure that the product is completely dry, you may run a facial tissue along the application site. When there is no evidence of moisture on the tissue, the product is dry.

Does this need veterinarian approval?
Answer by ChewySep 18, 2019
This treatment does not require a prescription.

Do I treat my dog with 3 doses right away, or use one dose a month?
Answer by ChewyMay 06, 2020
This flea and tick treatment should be administered once a month.

Where is this product made?
Answer by ChewyJun 10, 2020
Vectra is manufactured in the United States.

Terrible! I'd give 0 stars if possible!

We unfortunately had to go to a topical flea and tick treatment due to our dog having seizures. We started using vectra and after the first treatment we were still finding live attached ticks. Foolishly we decided to do the second month treatment ... worst decision! We've pulled 4 ticks off our dog and its been a week since we've applied the treatment! Worthless product!

Flea & Tick

Seems to work ok. Dozer isn't complaining. 59 characters is a foolish requirement. I don't have time for this. Gotta go?

Do not buy

Worst flea treatment since Frontline. This product is absolutely useless just like Frontline and neither companies stand behind their products. Symparica is the only product that has stopped the fleas for us.

Love this Product

I have been buying this flea and tick medication for my girls Missy and her little sister Angel my 8 lb Chihuahua in a different dose. Missy just turned 6 yrs old this yr and I have been using this product on her for the last four years and Angel is a rescue and we've only had her for 1 yr. I have never seen any fleas or ticks on either of them even when I have been up to 14 days late reaplying their next dose and our front yard is a sand pit we can't get any grass to grow there.

Love Chewy

I am so thankful for Chewy. I order one day and usually get delivery the next day. That’s unheard of up here in rural NY country. Even a letter usually takes several days to arrive. Thank you Chew. I will be a loyal customer.

Does the job!

Our Vet in Florida suggested this for our dachshund as the bugs can get quite bad there. We have not noticed any fleas, ticks or any bugs on our dog since using this product. It doesn't bother her when we apply it either. Just let it dry after applying. We usually play with her or give her a few training treats to keep her busy. We will continue to purchase this product.

Waste of $

We started using this product on our 2 border collies for the 1st time in April. It seemed to work the 1st dose, but around 48 hours after the 2nd dose in May I found ticks on 1 of our dogs. Big, fat, & very much alive. Unfortunately, I jumped the gun in purchasing 6 mos. worth when it was on sale. I contacted Ceva and recieved absolutely no response. I wish I would have read reviews on other sites. I would have seen that this along with the poor customer service from ceva seems to be a fairly common complaint.
