Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

LOVE VECTRA 3D

I have two golden retrievers and both have been in vectra 3D, flea free, mosquito free and tick free. I've never seen any fleas or ticks on them EVER, not once since using VECTRA 3D. We do lots of hikes and of my family owns a 34 acre land with lots of deep woods, and still my pups never got any fleas or ticks on them from being out in the woods. I will forever be faithful to vectra 3D and reccomemend it to everyone.

Takes at least 2 days to kill ticks.

I have three dogs that I take for hikes in the woods of Maine. I treated each one with the appropriate dosage of Vectra & followed the no bathing directions. I was hopeful this would work - and it does - but it takes way too long to be an effective control from tick-borne diseases. My veterinarian indicated that tick-borne diseases spread in hours and not days. (t does seem to be effective for mosquitos - I can't speak to flea control as we've never battled them). Vectra is ineffective as an efficient or quick tick killer.

Dog got HUNDREDS of ticks!

I tried this product for the first time because it says it repels ticks while other medications will simply kill but not repel. I thought this would be great because my dog and I are always romping around outside. 2 days after applying the product, I noticed some rash looking patch on my dog. My dog was COVERED in at least 200 tiny seed ticks. He also had 3 full size ticks. All we’re alive and attached to my dog. Definitely does not repel whatsoever and also does not kill ticks when they latch on.

does not work

Tried and gave this brand a chance but it does nothing to work to solve the fleas on my dog. This is the first year battling fleas ever and I have also treated yard and home along with this product. Don’t waste you’re money.

Disappointed

Honestly I am 100 percent disappointed and unsatisfied. I have been in the vet field for 20 years , previously lived in Cali and loved vectra, always recommended and used on my pets and it worked well. Moved to Wyoming and did not need any preventative. Now in Arkansas , need more than ever, and I am so upset. I wanted to avoid an oral medication ( which I can get thru my hospital and stick with a vectra 3D from previous experience and it also is suppose to help repel mosquitos ) Never will I use again. We have a couple of acres and there is one small gated area that has an issue ( which I also have been treating ) I previously have been told by companies drug rep to use once monthly, can apply every 3 weeks , if there’s a flea problem. Well I applied first dose ( fleas were not phased , it did not repel nor did it kill then ) 3 weeks later reapplied , the fleas are still alive and well on my poor pups. It’s not killing them nor repelling them. I have not bathed them ( even though you should be able to within 24-36 hours ) . Lost my faith in Vectra3D and my pups are miserable.

Good price

We've been asked to review this product which is hard since we didn't use it yet. Based on price and shipping I'd give it 5 stars. I'll need some experience with it to rate the product.

Vectra 3 D

My dog has epilepsy so I have to be careful of what I use for flea and tick meds. the Chewy veterinarian recommended Vectra 3D as an alternative to things like Bravecto. It took a couple of days but my dog and my house are now flea free.

Works great

Per my vets recommendation I used this with the Ceresto collar. My poor pup was getting tons of black fly bites on his ears when we went camping, now they don't touch him!

Did Something Change?

I've been using Vectra for many many years. We have never had a flea or tick problem. In fact, I've not even thought about fleas for more than a decade. Recently both our dogs began itching terribly. We assumed seasonal allergies because Vectra had been so good at eliminating fleas that our minds immediately went elsewhere. We then discovered fleas on both of them. We have been applying this stuff religiously monthly for as long as I can remember. Now we're left with eliminating the fleas which is certainly a much larger chore than just preventing them in the fist place. I'm hopeful this is a "one off" fail and we'll be back to normal after multiple flea baths and a re-application just 15 days after the first one. Time will tell. I won't condemn the product because of the exceptional results we've seen over the years, but this is disturbing-
