Our little Havanese girl doesn't like it (chicken flavor). I don't like that the consistency is so thick that I have to use a whole paper towel to get it off the dispenser. It would likely take her 5 minutes to lick it off if I found a flavor she likes. Back to putting gelcap in back of her throat, which i hate doing to her.

Non starter

This is kind of a bizarre mechanism. My dog didn't like it at all. She doesn't like much, though, so maybe it will work for other dogs that aren't as picky.

My 13 yr old chipoo has gone from not taking any meds for most of his life to now needing meds 3 times/day due to stage 1 kidney disease and thyroid issues. He's never done well with trying to hide pills in food. He always spits the pill out and eats the food. We tried pill pockets, and he started out loving them. But after a few weeks, he just started hating them. I'm so glad I found the Twist & Lick! He goes NUTS for it! It's sticky, so he licks the pill down with everything. You have to be careful that you dont use too much or you go thru it really fast. I wish it lasted longer and that there was a way to see how much you have left. Other than that its a great product!

Works great to hide pills

This is a great way to "hide" pills for my picky eater. I don't actually put it on the dispenser because she is not treat motivated. I scoop some off on a spoon

This is a great way to "hide" pills for my picky eater. I don't actually put it on the dispenser because she is not treat motivated. I scoop some off on a spoon and then roll the pills in it and throw it in her bowl. It's a bit messy that way, but has worked great for a pup who says no to peanut butter, cheese, hot dogs, etc.

The consistency was sticky enough that I covered the pill in the goo n stuck it in the back of his throat. we had tried everything before this but as a former Caribbean street dog he is super super super careful about what he swallows but once he realized that my attempts to murder him were helping him feel better, he was more cooperative. But he loves the goo. And so does his sister Pippa, I would have to give her a fake pill which was just a little ball of the goo with no medicine in it bc she got jealous. I mean, it is pricey but if your dog won’t even take a pill hidden in cream cheese, this goo is for you. I’ll never again attempt to give them meds without it. The only possible negative is Huey had a spell of loose stool while on the meds, can’t say if it was the pills, the good, or unrelated altogether. It wasn’t enough of an issue to stop the pills or switch the delivery system. Def recommended

My dogs love this!

Such an easy form of dental care and my dogs can’t wait to lick their chicken flavored treat. I’ve been using it for about six months and haven’t noticed any signs

The texture and taste

My dog still fights it but it sticks to his gums and he hasn't take it.

This is a good idea in theory and our dog likes it, but it’s so badly designed - the pills slide around and slide over the edge and fall off. The design also means that the sides get covered in the gel and the dog needs to lick all the sides as well. And the final design fail is that this doesn’t stand up by itself so you have to hold it. It needs a rim and a way for it to stand up by itself.
