Great value, a little too hard
By ducksmom2010 on Jan 2, 2021
I bought several bags of the pill treats because the price was so much better than the top competitor. They are much bigger than is needed for the tiny pill I give so I cut them into 4 or 5 smaller "tubes" and a bag lasts a very long time. They are pretty hard and difficult to mold until you warm them up a bit in your fingers but then are an excellent option that my dogs love.

Too hard for dog
By Viry on Mar 1, 2021
Too hard for me to put the pill inside. They are also huge! I was able to use one for 4 pills. I wouldn’t buy again.

They are NOT soft!
By DogLover on Dec 31, 2020
I thought I ordered Pill Pockets and got these. They are quite HARD, and cause the dog to break up the pill in his mouth and be very unhappy.

My dog loves these!
By Kathy on Sep 19, 2020
My terrier is a very fussy eater. I soften the pill pocket by holding it under warm water for a while, then insert her tablet. I add a little more warm water into the center, then seal the sides. This helps dissolve the pill into the pocket. I cut the treat into two pieces and re-seal to make sure she does not see the contents. She eats them like a champ! This is the only pill pocket she will eat. I have given her this brand for close to 2 years.

Not usable
By Hard on Nov 28, 2020
They were so dried out and hard they couldn't be used. Tried adding a little water for moisture and they melted. Did not like smell.

not the right size
By danemom on Jun 14, 2020
these pill treats will not hold a caplet medication :( even when i cut in half, it does not fit properly, thereby causing an inability to close properly and it breaks up. the treats are not soft enough to actually form around the smaller tablet and because of the shape of the treat, it just does not work well. i tried adding peanut butter (no added stuff) to disguise, but it just did not work :( my pup can then easily spit out the pills, so i've resorted to using hot dogs and pnb with a bit of chicken atop.

Too Tough to Chew
By DogOwner on Jul 23, 2020
Our dog is strong and healthy, but requires a daily anti-anxiety medication for his separation anxiety. This pill casing is too tough for him to chew and consume the pills. Initially, he spit out at least half. After a week, he just refuses the pill pouch entirely. If a dog requires pills and isn't a young pup, it seems unlikely that this would be a successful option.

Too dry and impracticable
By Annie on May 8, 2020
I have a senior arthritic dog who gets 4 pills 2x a day. My favorite MilkBone Pill Pouches were sold out so i tried other versions. These are described as a soft chew but they are so dry and crumply that i couldn't even get it around one pill let alone 4. I like that it is made in the USA, but very impractical for pets who take medicines daily.

Dog refused to eat it.
By Jasperkilled on Jun 9, 2020
This is one of the worst items I have ever tried to give my dog. Not only would she hesitate to eat them. She also figured out how to spit the pills out that I put in the pill pod. A complete waste of money
