My dog has severe allergies that require multiple daily meds. I was hiding the meds in peanut butter but that gets messy and I could tell it was messing with her sensitive stomach. A friend recommended these pill pouches and after using them once, the peanut butter is history. These pouches are soft and it’s possible to stuff 2-3 pills in one pouch at the same time..just pinch the ends closed. My dog thinks I’m giving her a treat and gobbles it right down, none the wiser. Being able to have them on auto ship is another perk.
I have to give my dog a pill every day for anxiet. These pill pouches make it very easy. He loves them and I don't have to worry about looking for something to stick the pill in because I already have it. Very convenient and the dog really likes the taste.
My boy is getting old and needs daily meds. They pills are chewable and are supposed to be flavored, but he won't touch them. These pill pockets are exactly what we needed. He LOVES them...starts to shake when he sees the package. They are soft and will mold around the pill. The pockets are quite large, which is great when you need it. If you need less, you can just tear them in half because they are soft. I went with bacon flavor because all of his food is chicken flavored and I wanted something I could be sure he would not spit out. This was it.
I have a difficult time giving my girl her medication. This pill pouch is a treat before, during, and after administering her medication and also a treat her two siblings. All three love the pill pouches.
these pouches are designed to hold one or more medicine caps/tabs. I stuff each pouch and then squish both ends to encompass the medicine. Works perfectly for me. And the price is good, too.
I feed my dog supplements in the form of capsules that he ordinarily will not eat. I can put two of the normal sized capsules inside the pouch and form it around the pills. He loves the taste and never notices the pills inside.
We have 3 large dogs. Each dog is currently taking medication. They are pitbull mixes, and very, very picky with food and treats. I have been having to coat all pills in peanut butter, put it in their mouth, and hope they dont spit it out. They realized peanut butter means medicine, and started to refuse any and all things peanut butter. I tried hiding the pills in pupachinos, but that wasn't working very well. They began to leave the pills behind, and only get the whipped cream. Out of frustration and tired of mess i looked into alternatives. I found these and decided to order them. I fill the insides with kong cheese spray to hide the pills even more, and they now take their medicine without any hassle! I do wish there was a bigger bag though as they are getting 14 pills a day in total between all 3 of them.
I love it at first and would finish it all up! But, I got wise that my mommy was putting meds in it, so ate around the middle, ha!
Had chicken flavored pouches but my lab started getting finicky about taking her pill in them, so switched to bacon flavored. She seems to accept these a little more readily, but only slightly. I think the flavor to the pouch is tasty to her but the hidden pill is the actual turn off. More tricks are needed; these are daily pills.
My two Labs will eat just about ANYTHING they can get in their mouths, with the exception of their monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. I've tried all the usual tricks; peanut butter, cheese, heck I've even wrapped them up in my fresh-from-the-deli premium corned beef while making my lunch sandwiches. Every time they eat everything else and spit out the meds. I decided to try these and bingo! Success! But I really wish these were made in bigger sizes. It takes two of these to cover each pill, times two pills per dog times two dogs. But, they work!
