  • Very, very thick gray paste, not gel..no cap!

My 5 lb Morkie has a sensitive stomach and typically takes flagyl prescribed by her vet....flagyl is a miracle medicine for her upset stomach and a liquid that I use with a dropper. I read about Vetoguinol gel and decided to try it. It's the size of a "dropper" for a horse filled with a thick, pasty clay medicine. I could never give it to my 5 lb dog or 12 lb cat in fear of choking them both on the dropper and paste. Also, it arrived without a cap on box with other (clothes) items and paste got everywhere - mess to clean up. So, not for me and I'm an avid user of Chewy's - best prices, I use auto-ship and I always get my orders in 24-48 hours...even prescription items/food by sending prescription My 5 lb Morkie has a sensitive stomach and typically takes flagyl prescribed by her vet....flagyl is a miracle medicine for her upset stomach and a liquid that I use with a dropper. • Not worth it

    By on

Disappointed with the shipping of this product. Came in a large box with just some paper bunched up in it. Product could still slam around inside the box and was not sealed in a bag. The syringe did not even have a cap on the end of it. So some of the product came out in the box. When I went to try and give it to my cat, I found the texture of the product to be sticky like peanut butter. My cat was having a hard time eating it. So I then tried mixing with wet food, but my cat refused to eat it. Licked around it and stopped whenever got to sticky texture. So there is no way of knowing if the product works since not able to administer without my cat having problems swallowing it.

  • Really helps with diarrhea

I had purchased this from my vet as my dog Milo is diabetic and sometimes gets diarrhea. I was so happy that Chewy had it for half the cost I was paying at the vet office. You just shoot it in their mouth and must taste good as Milo likes it. It saves me a trip to the vet office. thanks Chewy, I love your service. We have been on autoship for a year and find it so convenient.

  • Did not help my IBD foster cat

    By on

This helped my friends senior cat and was recommended by her vet, and my vet says keep my foster on probiotics. My poor foster cat would not eat this on her own and hated me putting this on her paw for her to lick it off, would run and hide after, and it didn’t help her soft stool at all. Back to Fortiflora, she loves that taste and no stress, though it only helps somewhat.

  • Pro-Pectalin

I was prescribed this supplement by a vet a few years ago when tests were made on one of my cats who had diarrhea, and all results came back negative. It worked well, even though I needed more than just one tube to do the trick. I agree with everyone who says that it is a mess and a pain to work with: measurements aren't precise, the paste is so thick and sticky that it's rare for it not to go all over the place when attempting to give it to the uncooperative cat. Still, it works and that's pretty much all that matters in the end.

  • Life saver

My German Shepherd has a very sensitive stomach. She easily gets diarrhea or an upset stomach. When I used this product it quickly cleared things up within a day or two. It definitely works! She loved the flavor and ate it right up. This is also easy to add into food. The dosing is also super easy since there are tick marks on the side of it with increments of 5.

  • Worked for my cat

This diarrhea gel worked in one day on my old cat (14 yrs). I mixed it into some canned chicken pate and he ate it with no problem. Gave him 4 doses, every 3-4 hrs.

  • Worked like a charm

My dog, Eloise, was suffering from diarrhea due to stress. I tried rice and Pedialyte with no success. Gave her 1 dose of Vetoquinol Pro-pectalin and Gone! She licked it right off my finger.

  • Worked well!!

    By on

My dog was very sick with diarrhea and loss of appetite, possibly from her food, but not completely sure of the cause. She was drinking water well and her appetite improved with a food change, however the diarrhea persisted, so I tried this Vetoquinol Pro-Pectalin Anti-Diarrheal Oral Gel. She liked the taste and licked it off of my finger, and I also added it to her new food. The diarrhea lessened in the first 24 hours, and the 2nd day, her stool was back to normal. Excellent product, and received quickly from Chewy!!

  • 2 tubes worked

Cat really hates this but has stopped the poop squirt and squeak every time he’s in the box. Found that it takes 2 tubes to do the trick.
