Never Used bc of Unstable Base

As pretty as it was, both of my girl cats never really used the orange scratcher. They each tried multiple times, usually years apart, but each time they didn’t

As pretty as it was, both of my girl cats never really used the orange scratcher. They each tried multiple times, usually years apart, but each time they didn’t seem to like that it moved at the base each time they tried to use it. Because the base isn’t heavy or anti-slip, it’d pull towards them, nearly knocking into their toe paws each scratch. Both on carpet and wooden floors. Eventually donated it years later, and it was still brand new.

Cute but...

The tangerine is very cute and wasy to assemble, but was a bit smaller than I expected. My kids have zero interest in it. My guess is that it won't be used since

The tangerine is very cute and wasy to assemble, but was a bit smaller than I expected. My kids have zero interest in it. My guess is that it won't be used since my girl usually has to try everything new that comes into the house (as chief inspector general, all boxes, bags, toys, produce get thoroughly vetted upon arrival). There was a slight chemical smell upon unpacking which I'm hoping will dissipate after a couple days. The rope seems a little soft, like it's cotton more than sisal. Won't request a refund but unfortunately would not buy again.

Smaller than dimensions and made very cheaply

Torn apart quickly

I love the look of this scratcher. We bought it over the summer and it's already falling apart. It is not nearly as durable as other scratchers that we have had

I love the look of this scratcher. We bought it over the summer and it's already falling apart. It is not nearly as durable as other scratchers that we have had in the past. I think for the price I expect more than a few months, heck I have a cheap cardboard scratcher with a longer life than this item. Super cute, but not durable enough.

Cute but watch their claws

Mittens loves this because she can scratch laying down. Some orange string has been getting caught in her claws so keep an eye on it!

So cute and easy to put together. It vibrant, sturdy and well contructed. In fact it looks so nice that my cats seem to think is meant for people. They wont scratch

So cute and easy to put together. It vibrant, sturdy and well contructed. In fact it looks so nice that my cats seem to think is meant for people. They wont scratch at it in front of me! I do know that they are actively using it because 1) I can hear them *all* the time and 2) it's been scooted across the room a few times 😆 Its been about a week of hard (secret) play from 4 cats and it still looks brand new The assembly is just attaching the stem, which took about 15 seconds. The box it came in is a pretty big hit, too

Sturdy and large enough for adult cats too

This tangerine scratching ball got a good laugh when my daughter saw it for the first time. I like that it adds a bit of fun to the room. I was pleasantly surprised

This tangerine scratching ball got a good laugh when my daughter saw it for the first time. I like that it adds a bit of fun to the room. I was pleasantly surprised at how big it is. I was worried it wouldn’t be large enough for an adult cat but it works great for our 2 adult cats. It is sturdy and I like that I didn’t have to do much assembly. I only had to stick the top on. The only downside is that my cats don’t seem to know what to do with it yet. I don’t know if it is because it is round or they just have their scratching habits already. Once I can get them to start using it though, I’m sure they will enjoy the rope covered surface and the shape of the ball for stretching.

This is a cute product idea and probably is so interesting to young cats that they would actually use this for what it was intended, however, my cat is 17-years-old

This is a cute product idea and probably is so interesting to young cats that they would actually use this for what it was intended, however, my cat is 17-years-old and this was just of no interest to her. To be completely honest, the box it arrived in was more fascinating for her because she could lay in it. I would steer clear of this item if your cat is older, but otherwise, I'd give it a shot. This is not intended to steer you away from this scratching ball toy, just to warn you that if your cat is a "seasoned citizen", it is probably not for them. It is an attractive scratching toy, brightly colored and comes pre-assembled (except for needing to screw on the stem), and is attractive. Actually, I wasn't really sure of how many stars to give this scratching toy since it is not a bad item; my cat is not its intended user. I would, however, recommend this product to owners that had young cats.

This scratcher is so unique and cute! I love the shape and color - so fun, without losing all appeal to an adult human. The kitties love it, too. The shape and size of the orange is purrfect to stand and wrap your paws around. My 5- and 7-year-olds took to it quickly after an encouraging sprinkle of catnip. Assembly was super simple, too. Love this addition to my kids' toybox!
