Caused a Pancreatitis Flare Up
I mixed it into my senior cat’s food for a couple weeks and all it did was give her a severe pancreatitis flare up that lasted several weeks and caused her to lose a lot of weight. Otherwise it seemed to have little to no effect on her mood.
Not working for 2 out of 3 cats
I got this for 3 of my cats to try to help them be a little calmer for various reason. One cat seems even MORE stressed after using this product, one does seem a little more chill, and it has had no effect on the third. We've been using it for two weeks and I was hoping to see more improvement than I am. I'll finish the bottle, but most likely will not be reordering.

this product helped our cat keep from being sick while traveling. no nausea ! also, chewy 's service is awesome. i have never found a company that is so customer oriented and who has such fast service.

Tried this in hope it would help my dog be calmer unfortunately it’s done nothing to help,for me it’s a waste of money.
Jury's out on the Composure
I think this helps with my anxious pup. (?) But honestly, I throw away more than he takes., it's pricey to toss in the trash. I've tried the chews...he won't touch them. I switched to the liquid. But he will avoid the bowl unless I hide it with some extra goody. I'm sure it's probably an ok product, but it doesn't work if it's so unappealing that the dog won't eat it. The liquid does smell bad, evidently not bad enough to be appetizing for a dog. The chews get even lower reviews from my dog.
Anxious cat
My vet recommended trying this for my cat who’s anxious and pulling out chunks of her hair prior to us going the prescription route. It’s a liquid so I mix it in her wet food. It’s flavorless so she does eat it, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Two stars because it’s actually flavorless and easy to administer.

This mixture helped my dog for when we take him in the car. A little expensive but it worked.
Works for us
We had the chewy treat form of Composure. One of my cats loved them & needed them for all kinds anxieties. Noises, fireworks, police sirens, vet visits, mom going to work, thunder & lightening or even just rainy or cloudy days... You name it, he was afraid. He'd hide under the bed, my big puffy quivering marshmallow kitty. The chews helped a lot; but he has dental issues. I worried about the chews sticking to his teeth and causing more decay. Don't know why I didn't know about the liquid form before. It works as well as the chews, with no possibility of anything sticking to his teeth. He likes it on his wet food. My big buddy only shoots under the bed during major thunderstorms now. The other cat, tho she's a warrior princess, will eat the liquid, too. So it's a winner for us.
finally found something that works
i have 5 cats in my home, 2 are rescues from outside. now that they're more comfortable in my place, there's been a power balance shift in the household & my older cat is no longer the defacto Napoleon. this has really upset & stressed her out. i tried the vetriscience Composure chews first, and couldn't get her to eat them even when disguising with other stuff she loves. i also tried other calming supplements, nothing really worked, but with this liquid Composure i am seeing concrete results. i mix the recommended dose in her wet food for breakfast along with her regular daily supplements [lysine, probiotics, sea meal] & she eats it all up without much fuss. about an hour later she's visibly more relaxed, doesn't growl & hiss at the other cats, & even hangs out in the middle of the room. this lasts almost the whole day. by the next morning she's stressed again, but definitely seeing relief throughout the day for over 12 hours. I hope she regains her mojo without needing this daily, but for now i'm grateful something is helping her out of her funk hopefully it will help your furry friend too.
No noticeable change
No noticeable changes with my cat with allergies/inflammation or my cat with aggression/anxiety, but my vet recommended it so I’ll give it more time. An ingredient I do not like is vegetable oil; I don’t even touch vegetable oils. I wish they would use a healthier oil.
