Questions & Answers
7 Customer Questions
What reason would I choose this specific product over Glycoflex III or vice verse? Like I see a bit of a variation in ingredients but the descriptions of the purposes are mostly the same. Like which offers the most benefit for an elderly arthritic cat?
Answer by • Jan 18, 2019
The differences between the 3 are as follows: Glyco Flex 1 is for those who are predisposed to joint/hip/elbow issues just due simply to their size or breed. Glyco Flex II is for when starting to show the beginnings of clinical signs of getting up slower, not playing as hard or long. Glyco Flex III is for when the the symptoms from above get worst and/or there is an injury or diagnosis of an issue

what is the phosphorus level in dry matter basis
Answer by • Feb 06, 2021
There is approximately 32 milligrams of Phosphorus per chew.
I got these to help my Hershey who is 14 years old. Based on other peoples reviews I slivered the chews up and added them to her wet food. The chews are really big. She did not seem to notice them mixed in for four days but then stopped eating her food with them in it. I cut a chew in half and offered it to her that way and she was having no part of that. Unfortunately these just did not work for us.

Cats would not eat it
I tried to feed this to both of my aging cats. They both turned their nose up to it.

Cat won't touch them!
My 11-year-old cat was getting a little stiff when she got up. Vet suggested joint supplement treats. Well, it was a complete FAIL! They were way too big for her to eat. So, I broke one up into smaller pieces. She sniffed it, gave me a look and walked away. The other two came to check it out and did the same thing! They will eat other chewy treats, but not these!

Recommend yea but with a few suggestions
At first yes my 16 yr old cat with arthritis would eat these no problem, but then after a week or so she wouldn’t so I’ve had to figure out for her, when would be the best time to try and get her to eat them. First off, yes they can get a smidge harder and are a little big so I always cut it into four pieces so it’s much more doable for her. The two best times are either in the morning after we’ve had our morning bed cuddles and before she’s gotten off my bed, so I just had her purring and the other good time is at night after all her eating and evening treats and she’s gotten in her nighttime spot and I’ll get in and almost settled as well and pet her and again, kinda get her in that happy mood almost purring mood and I’ve just found that for her, this is when she’ll eat them. If I even try any other time, even before she eats anything else and is hungry, if she’s not in that happy mood then she won’t touch them!

beware if your cat is diabetic!
I bought these instead of the Royal Canin treats which are no longer available. But my little cat Peewee went into hyperglycemic shock two hours after I gave him 3 of these. Glyco means related to SUGAR!!! There is NO warning on the label or in the description and why are they making SUGAR treats for cats??? I threw them in the trash and saved my cat's life.

Did these change?
I am wondering if the recipe for these changed. My arthritic cat used to eat them right along w her food but now she won't touch them.

Good company
Good treats to help cats. Pricey, but it's backed by science. I give them to my kitten very sparingly, otherwise I'll be spending too much, too often.
