Any tricks for softening these up? My cats will eat the first few out of the bag--but they seem to get stale and hard fast--even when resealing the bag.

Answer by ChewyNov 14, 2018
We recommend dividing the chews up into smaller zip lock baggies and then stuffing them all back into the original bag so then you're only opening a few of the chews at a time. A Parmesan cheese grater works great as well. Put the chews in there and then it will make them finer and fluffier.

Is it safe to give all male cats to prevent problems

Answer by ChewyMar 15, 2018
These are specifically formulated for long-term use for cats predisposed to urinary tract infections and crystals.

Will this help with cystitis?

Answer by ChewyFeb 16, 2021
These UT Strength Feline chews are a great option for felines with cystitis as long as there are no Calcium Oxalate crystals.

How many calories per chew?

Answer by ChewyJul 22, 2020

These Vetriscience UT Health Supplement nuggets that Chewy's Vet recommended on the chat option are so hard my cat cannot eat them. They are also stuck together in hard balls that I had to pry apart with a knife tip to even get one for her to try. I ended up soaking one in hot water to soften and it was still so HARD that I had to shave it with a knife, then resoak in her broth to just try and get it injested to help her urinary tract. This is ridiculous! I am so disappointed, as I was looking forward to getting her relief from frequemt UTI discomfort. The product advertises soft. Her hard kibble isn't as hard as this is.

I again had high hopes for this product but was let down. Product arrived dried out and lacking in any appeal to my cat. It does no good if it isn't appealing and they don't eat it. I tried dissolving it in warm water and using a syringe so she could get the benefits of relief but again, as soon as I gave her the second "drop" she vomited it up so absolutely no benefit.

I opened the bag and the treats are hard. Even when I could break one up, some crumbs and my cat attempted to eat a piece he spit it back out and walked away. This is my second bag that's come like this. Not my cats usual brand either. Having the same issue with a brand that I've been buying for 7 years and no change in ingredients.

I bought this for a cat with feline idiopathic cystitis. I was hesitant since so many people mentioned problems getting their cat to eat it, but Fred eats just about anything (including other crunchy treats) and I assumed he'd eat these. Wrong. He had no interest, not even when softened via various methods, broken into tiny bits, or mixed with Churu (he licked around the bits). The product is probably good, but the delivery is lacking, at least for my cat. I'll have to keep looking.

Waste of money

Cat does not eat it, and everything clumps together. Also too big for a cat to ingest so have to cut it in half

When I first purchased these chews, my cat Loved them. They did seem to help her. But after a short period of time they became sticky and clumped together. She stopped eating them. I spoke to Chewy representative and she quickly sent another bag. Same thing cat Loved them, then the got sticky clumped together she stopped eating them. So Unfortunately I will have to search elsewhere for UTI help for my baby.

One cat likes it one cat doesn't

The senior cat with FIC doesn't like it but the younger one will eat it when he's hungry. Can't really tell the effectiveness of the chews since the FIC cat refuses
