These may work; however, they are way too big for my average cat. He can't get them in his mouth, nevermind crunching them up.
This product literally had to be smashing on the counter to break in order for my cat to chew them, and even then he simply refused to eat them.
I love these dental treats! They are bigger than anticipated, but I don’t need to give my cat so many a day and she doesn’t swallow them whole. She takes her time to eat them because she has to break them up- she had to have one of her canines pulled and it hasn’t affected her ability to eat these. I noticed a huge difference in her breath in just a couple of days. She doesn’t have minty breath now, don’t get me wrong, but it is definitely better!
I so wanted to love these! They are a bigger size and I was hoping it would help my cats teeth. Both cats swallow the greenies dental treats whole, so that's not doing anything for them. Neither cat will touch these, even if its smothered in wet food.
Like everyone else, I had to find alternative brands of dental treats because my two cats were simply swallowing Greenies whole. They weren’t very enthusiastic to eat these at first but I didn’t stop trying. I mostly give the dental treats after giving them their favorite minnows treats, so they always associate the dental treats with minnows. Now they always run to me with their tails up and quivering whenever I bring out the bag. These treats are not super hard like some reviews mentioned, they are more like a chew. It might vary from batch to batch? I was worried the treats would be huge and they would gag but they both had no problem actually chewing and breaking up the pieces in their mouths. They are not very big cats either so I was surprised that they were able to eat them without me having to break or cut the treats up like some reviews mentioned. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised that they both like these, even the picky one. Huge sigh of relief. As with all cats, we just gotta keep trying and find something that works for our feline families! I just got lucky with these treats. Planning to rotate these with another brand in case they change the formulation or something, coz during these unpredictable times - you never know!
A lot of people said their cat wouldn't touch these or that they were too hard or something, so I thought I would weigh in that this was not my experience. I plan to update after next year's check up to see if the vet says his dental health has improved, but I got these because he couldn't eat the Greenies treats she recommended. He was swallowing those whole and then throwing them up! These he was really motivated to eat because they smell wonderful, even to me! And it took him awhile to figure out how to bite them into smaller pieces but he kept trying. Now he eats them right away. I wonder if it's because they are already improving his dental health and it doesn't hurt as much to chew or something. That's what I plan on asking the vet next year. We've had this bag a few months and he gets excited every time I open it.
These treats are so big our cars rejected them. We’ve tried a bunch of different ways of giving them out but have yet to see the cats eat one.
My cat hates getting her teeth brushed so I got her these and it works and now she and me are happy and I’m glad that she likes them
Suit my fur baby's needs whenever a treat is required. Other fur babies also like them. I am confident this is a healthy treat and it is good for my fur babies' teeth. I would recommend these treats
Have an older cat who won't let me clean his teeth because they're sensitive. Still has them all though and I'd like to keep it that way, so I've purchased a few types. Many were too hard for him to chew, probably better for younger cats, but these are perfect, and he likes them quite a bit. Doesn't go manic for them but munches them down when he feels like it if I leave them next to his bowl. His breath is better and his teeth seems much less sensitive now, as his appetite appears to have improved. Highly recommend giving these a shot, worst case scenario you could try putting some salmon oil on them if your kitty is too finicky.
