Raw Bar freeze Dried Salmon Skin was a win for my dog. In fact, it did not last very long. No chew ever does with him. I am happy that it is a safe and healthy alternative to rawhide. It is an actual fish skin, and it isn't hard which is easy on his teeth, because he is an old man and I worry about him breaking a tooth on harder treats and chews. It gives a good chew. He did have to chew on it for a few minutes before he started trying to just eat it whole which is his nature. It does not smell fishy! It hardly had any smell at all, which was nice. I was expecting something not so nice when I opened the package and was pleasantly surprised. This will definitely be added into the rotation of chews and treats because he liked it and its healthy and not a rawhide!

I won't to lie, for whatever reason this thing kind of grossed me out. We hunt, we fish... But I guess a roll of scales did me in. Great news, it did not gross

I won't to lie, for whatever reason this thing kind of grossed me out. We hunt, we fish... But I guess a roll of scales did me in. Great news, it did not gross out the dogs. It does of course have the odor of seafood to it, so it would not recommend while you have company! I will say it's very large for one dog, so we did split it between two of them as a special treat. It definitely required a little effort to split though.

This thing is massive, which makes it hard to think of it as a treat that you can just give your dog. It's also very hard to break into pieces -- I used a knife, but man, it's messy and difficult to saw through. The fish scales go everywhere and it's greasy. I would hesitate to give the entire thing to my dog because of the mess and grease stains it might leave behind. All that being said, my dog LOVED it. Couldn't get enough of it. I just wasn't willing to give him the whole thing and then have to clean it up.

These fish skin treats were a pleasant surprise. My dog loves anything fish-related, but usually the smell is so strong that I only use them sparingly. These, however, didn’t have that usual intense odor, which I really appreciated. The texture is a little crumbly, so there were some flakes, but my dog enjoyed them so much she literally cleaned the floor trying to get every last bit. Overall, great quality, dog-approved, and way less smelly than other fish treats we’ve tried.

These was very fishy smelling and lingered in the blankets so I had to wash them, but of course what would we expect based on the product. I think next time will be an outdoor treat for our house. Dogs loved it and were protecting it when someone looked like they were coming near.
