Wagner's Always The First

Always The First

As an industry trailblazer, Wagner's has had many firsts. They were the first company over 80 years ago to sell a bird seed for year-round feeding. Before that, bird feeding was just a winter activity to give wild birds the energy they needed to survive the winter. They've also been the first to market black oil sunflower seed, regional blends, and deluxe and premium bird foods.

About Wagner's

As the oldest and largest privately owned wild bird food company in the USA, Wagner's has been helping bird enthusiasts attract wild birds to their backyards since 1894. With special blends of high-quality, fresh ingredients, their seed mixes have become time-tested favorites for all types of birds across America. They produce many different wild bird foods that are developed to give your feathered friends more of the seeds they love, making your feeders come alive with beautiful songbirds.

Birds want nothing to do with this

    By on

The finches and chickadees that used to flock to my feeder want nothing to do with this food. I think it's because it has a lot of milo, which I understand birds don't care for. I wouldn't buy it again.

    Good start forthe feeder

    By on

I think Wagner's products are very good in general. I Purchased a 22 pound bag of their black oil sunflower seeds anticipating that it would be lighter on those in the classic feed. I mix it in for my cardinals and Jays. I recommend doing that.

    Bird Delight

    By on

The birds seem to really enjoy this food. It doesn't matter when I fill the feeder, thirty minutes later the food is gone. And, if I am late in filling it, these feathered creatures get very vocal from their perch on telephone and cable wires. If you enjoy feeding the wildlife, Wagner's Wild Bird Seed will make you very popular with the fine feathered ones.

This wonderful for all backyard critters

    By on

I bought this to see if my critters would like it. I feed mostly pigeons, sparrows, doves and now the crows are also enjoying the corn in it. And of course the squirrels are also dining with the with the birds. I am very happy and will continue to order it when I need more.

    Seed arrived safely.

    By on

My two bags of seed arrived in one piece. The primary shipping container was a little crushed and starting to pull apart. Could have used a little more shipping tape on a 40 pound order.

Very popular with variety of birds

    By on

You get a lot of sparrows, but have also attracted the showier migrants to Southern Califirnia, like black-headed grosbeak. Even see a parakeet from time to time. With us all stuck at home right now, watching birds is a big deal.

    Worth the money!

    By on

I was using a cheaper food, but there was so much left over on the ground I knew I needed to change. There isn't a speck of seed left on the ground. I mix in some mealworms and it is all gone in 2-3 days. The birds love it!

    No waste bird seed

    By on

Great value. There is no waste. Anything that falls out of the feeders is eaten. I have not noticed any sprouting in the garden.

    Stale Seed

    By on

I am very disappointed in this seed. It is stale. Full of dust. Not a balanced blend. My regular birds are not eating it. I need to order something else.

    Great bird food!

    By on

The birds have been gobbling this seed since putting it in our bird feeder; been refilling it every other day so, it must be good. Great price & no delivery issues!
