Should be fresher, Chewy

The food itself is great, and relatively low in phosphorus for our senior with not so great kidneys. Not so pleased that the expiration date is only 3 months out

The food itself is great, and relatively low in phosphorus for our senior with not so great kidneys. Not so pleased that the expiration date is only 3 months out. Usually Chewy moves product quickly and we rarely see food that expires so soon. Why bother with Chewy when they're no longer much cheaper or fresher than local chains?

My 17 year old picky eater was recently diagnosed with chronic kidney disease so I am transitioning him to a CKD diet. He hates the prescription food so far, but this is on the nonprescription list of wet food that has lower levels of phosphorus which is key. Picky boy likes this so I'm hoping it will bridge the gap while I try to get him onto the prescription diet and help meet his dietary needs.
