The Chicken recipe contains 1.96% Phosphorus and 1.14% Sodium, the Turkey and Salmon recipe contains 1.96% Phosphorus and 1.35% Sodium, the Turkey Dinner recipe contains 1.74% Phosphorus and 1.17% Sodium, the Chicken and Herring recipe contains 1.98% Phosphorus and 1.34% Sodium, the Beef and Chicken recipe contains 1.62% Phosphorus and 1.15% Sodium, and the Chicken and Lobster recipe contains 2.09% Phosphorus and 1.19% Sodium all on a dry matter basis.

Disappointed at quality control & shrinkflation

This is my first time trying the trial size of the wellness wet food and I’m disappointed to see that the can is not filled completely. There’s a noticeable gap,

This is my first time trying the trial size of the wellness wet food and I’m disappointed to see that the can is not filled completely. There’s a noticeable gap, about 2 inches, between the pate and the top of the can. I’ve purchased the 20 pack version of this brand in a different flavor and those were filled all the way, so this was unexpected. It’s frustrating to see manufacturers keeping prices high while reducing the amount and quality of the product. I bought the trial size since I’m switching my cats food due to allergies, but I won’t be purchasing again based on this shrinkflation. This issue isn’t necessarily chewy’s fault, it’s on the manufacturer, which unfortunately reflects a larger problem in the pet food industry.

I find the canned food seems Fresh er when I order it from Chewy. The wet food at the pet stores is dryer and there is less selection. I like the smaller cans because I have one cat and she eats less than half a 3 ounce can per serving. Heating up wet food degrades the taurine and my cat will not eat cold food from the fridge.
