Wellness CORE Natural Grain-Free Turkey & Duck Pate Canned Cat Food, 3-oz, case of 12

Of my two cats, one is extremely picky. Unfortunately, he's also the one with severe health problems and who struggles to keep weight on. It's been a battle the past year finding food that he likes and will keep eating. At this point I'm less concerned about giving him the "best" food and have pretty firmly taken the mindset that ANY food is good food compared to the alternative of NO food. That said, this is GREAT food and to my surprise and delight, he can't get enough of it! I started him with the duck and turkey variety, as we've given him some duck varieties from other brands in the past that he seemed to like, and he scarfed it right down. Because this food is so protein heavy and calorie dense, he's getting more calories in one little 3oz can that he was getting in an entire 5.5oz can of Friskies. Yes, it's expensive, but when I look at it from that perspective, it's worth it. The one thing I will warn on is, if your cat isn't used to a high protein food, switch them to this GRADUALLY. I was so excited that he was loving the food I was giving him a whole can a day (along with additional wet food and dry food that he always has access to), and after about a week he had a bought of constipation that almost had us running to the emergency vet. Luckily, he pooped on his own after a few struggles in the box, and then a couple of days of Miralax mixed in with his food and he's been fine since. We've walked the Weruva back to every other day, especially because he has kidney issues and high protein food can be tough on the kidneys, and he hasn't any more problems. Ultimately, your cats are gonna like what your cats are gonna like, and what works for my picky boy isn't necessarily going to be a win for yours, but my cat loves it and I plan to keep giving it to him as long as he continues to want to eat it!
