What is the difference between core and non core wellness food?

Wellness CORE is a high protein-rich, grain free nutritional diet while Wellness Complete Health contains standard protein levels and not grain free.

Are any of the ingredients in this food sourced from China?

The ingredients in this diet are primarily sourced from North America. A small portion of the mixed tocopherols and green tea extract is sourced from China. These ingredients are part of the natural preservative in the food and are less than 1% of total ingredients. Each ingredient is fully tested and inspected for quality and safety before it goes into any of the diets.

Vet-Recommended, Kitten Tolerated

We have a kitten who has been struggling with low weight gain and slight failure to thrive. Our vet recommended that we switch to this to help him grow better

We have a kitten who has been struggling with low weight gain and slight failure to thrive. Our vet recommended that we switch to this to help him grow better. The food has worked very well, the kitten is doing much better health-wise. It has been very successful from that standpoint. But the kitten doesn't like it very well. I have to dilute it 50-50 with a different food he likes better, or he just won't eat at all. It's unfortunate, because our other kitten who has no special needs likes this food very well and he's not the one who needs it. So I guess it's a mixed review from my two 5 month old kittens. One of them likes it very well and one of them doesn't care for it much at all.

I’m in the process of trying to find some new wet foods that my kitten loves because he’s too thin. He’s a Bengal and a naturally lean breed, but he had a rough start with the person who initially bought him and couldn’t keep him thankfully, he then got sick with FCV and lost some weight due to inappetence while he was sick. He’s 100% recovered, but he needs to gain back the weight that he lost and I was hoping that a variety of foods would help him eat more, but this one is not it. He does not like this food and barely ate any of it even though I know he was hungry because I could hear his belly growl. I offered him a different brand after, and he immediately ate a lot of of that. Maybe he’ll like wellness in a different flavor, I’ll keep trying.
