The best way to transition onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet. Mixing the food will allow the dog to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.
My 12 year old cairn terrier loves this and I do too because it’s healthy. I mix it with her regular Wellness kibble to make sure she eats in the morning because she has to have a full tummy to take her new medicine. Wellness is great food. My cats eat Wellness too.

My Westie ZsaZsa LaRue loves this. She has about 24 food allergies, but this is approved by her vet. No chicken allergies.
My picky dog won’t touch it
on Sep 10, 2020
I have been struggling for months with a dog who’s suddenly become extremely picky with her food. (I suspect it has to do with the new kitten I brought home and she’s been able to sneak his food and it must taste better than her own or something) She won’t eat any dry dog food anymore no matter what it’s mixed with and I’ve bought several brands hoping to find one she’ll like. She’s also been refusing her usual wet food brands so I keep trying out other kinds of wet food for her and so far she only eats the chicken breast wuruva brand wet food. I tried this since it seems to be mostly chicken like wuruva but a bit cheaper and the reviews are good and she won’t even try it.
Hey Mom! He likes it!

I have the world’s worst finicky dog, with a temperamental digestive system too! But he likes this, mixed up with a rice/vegetable mix. I am thrilled, because he has eaten it for a month, and his stools have firmed up to normal too. Kudos Wellness!
My dogs love it!

I have five dogs and everyone of them love it! We just give them a little spoonful w/their kibble at each feeding. For our special-needs dogs no need to use pill masks, we hide their medications in the delicious spoonful.

Chewy always delivers quickly and keeps me informed. Wellness is my favorite for 3 dogs, all with health issues. Being able to see the pdf of the ingredients lets me know the food will meet their nutritional needs and restrictions. Chewy has the best web site for information.
