It is important to slowly transition your dog from his/her current diet as it takes a few days for the body to adapt to new nutrient levels. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5 - 7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness Simple each day, so that you are feeding 100% Wellness Simple by day 7. This food is formulated for adult, non-reproducing dogs over one year old as puppies and pregnant or nursing mothers have special nutritional requirements.

Sensitivity
By ForMiles on Feb 28, 2021
This is a first purchase. The vet advised a change of food due to Miles had an ear infection. He has floppy ears and it's common. So, we chose Wellness because it was highly rated on Google foods for dogs with ear infections. So, I'll let you know how it works out in a few more orders.

Not working for what it says
By kalechip on Jan 26, 2021
My dog did enjoy this food a little bit, but it doesnt seem to work for her as far as what is listed on the bag. That very well could be because something else is wrong with her that we have to figure out. I would recommend this to other people in the sense that its worth trying to see if they can be helped but for us, unfortunately it wasn't what we thought! Chewy did an excellent job and getting it to us when we needed it.

Sensitive stomach
By NjcMI on Jan 9, 2021
I get his for my elderly dog who has always had a sensitive stomach. I also want to keep him at a healthy weight. He loves it. I gave four stars because they no longer bring packages to my door. This is important because Chewy only carries 40 lbs size and I am in my seventies so 40 lbs is not very manageable.

Dogs love it
By Keo1 on Feb 22, 2021
My dogs have loved it since day one. We have switched all 3 dogs to it now. I sometimes have to run the cat off to keep him from eating it

Started out good...
By SWilson on Nov 6, 2020
I needed something that could work for my bulldog’s allergies but also be compatible with my boxer. At first I was really pleased with the formula. My bulldog wasn’t itching and my boxer seemed to love the flavor. After a couple months I noticed my boxer losing weight, despite feeding him double his usual amount. I thought it was just me until my neighbor made a comment on his weight. I got on to check the reviews and noticed similar complaints. Seems there may have been a formula change recently? I don’t feel comfortable continuing him on this with such the drastic change in weight/appearance.

Wonderful!
By NiDelicia on Nov 5, 2020
My dog is allergic to certain grains/ingredients and in hopes that she would be able to keep food down, I went ahead and ordered this. To be quite honest, I was expecting this dog food to have the same negative effect as the other stuff I’ve bought in the past, but to my surprise, my dog gobbled it down! There was no diarrhea, no vomiting, she was her perky ol’ self. This is what I will be sticking with from now on, if your dog is having issues with other brands, try this, don’t think on it!

Glad we tried this one!
By Jacksonsmom on Oct 15, 2020
Our GSD has been scratching and tearing up his skin a while. Also chronic ear infections and loose bowel movements. It’s been helping some with the scratching (his skin may be other issues), but for sure the loose bowel movements are now a thing of the past! No more poop soup!! VERY glad about this one! I think we’ll stick with this brand now.

Wellness for allergies
By Newf2mom on Jan 2, 2021
We have a Newfie with food allergies. Wellness brand has been our go to brand for years. It’s a bit pricey but worth it.

A win for allergies
By Chewy on Sep 13, 2020
I had an allergy test done on my boxer and he was allergic to almost everything. We had tried 4 other foods and nothing was helping. We were told that we had to get him on a limited diet food so we tried Wellness. His scratching has gone down about 90% in just 4 days!! I’m anxious to see if it is going to help his loose bowel movement as well. My other dogs seem to like this food as well. I highly recommend!
