The Stewlander and Stick a Spork in It recipes are very similar. There are a few slight differences such as the Stick a Spork in It recipe has coconut oil. The overall texture and proteins are the same.

Can issues

Half the Oder was dented on arrival (Chewy was awesome and gave a partial credit for the open cans). Turns out the remaining cans had small dents too, which is weird

Half the Oder was dented on arrival (Chewy was awesome and gave a partial credit for the open cans). Turns out the remaining cans had small dents too, which is weird. It wa shard trying to figure out if the food was still good cause believe me it smells terrible. I tried one of the less bumpy cans that I felt quite sure were fine but the cat would not eat it. So not sure if it’s cause of the fans or he is just not liking the food. The packaging of the cans is a huge issue, it’s 8 cans in flimsy plastic and paper/light wt cardboard, in a line of 4 cans. This provides very little protection. Do not order it with other heavy items as it will come out bumpy.

SOUPY AND CHICKEN FREE

Stewlander has passed the minimal chunk inspection. And flavor is 11/10. My cat only likes to eat my other cat’s prescription food or the cheapest garbage. He normally takes all day (and night) to eat but it’s 90% gone an hour in.

Stewlander is the only chicken free flavor but a favorite

My cat is allergic to chicken and Stewlander is the only chicken (/poultry) free flavor in this line which is a shame because he LOVES IT. This food is finely ground

My cat is allergic to chicken and Stewlander is the only chicken (/poultry) free flavor in this line which is a shame because he LOVES IT. This food is finely ground meat in a lot of gravy. It's so moist that if you don't use it all in one meal and try to put the lid back on to put it in the fridge, the lid sinks under the gravy haha. I put leftovers in another container to keep them fresh since we feed 1/3 can a meal. Like other Weruva, the cans sometimes come dented from the manufacturer. Definitely recommend checking for dents and checking the seals when you buy a pack.

When I tried this line, I thought the “stew” would be thicker and with more pieces, looked very watery with little actually noticeable protein, like over minced

The cans are only filled half way

This one is a total rip off. There's hardly anything in the can! Avoid! It's even more expensive than other Weruva cans. Zero clue why.
