About Whimzees Natural Dental Chews
Not sure what it is but this product gives my dog diarrhea for days. I have tested giving her the dental treats then not at its this last box I just got a couple of weeks ago that is doing it. Not sure what to do but the treats are going in the garbage.
These treats are too big for our older 70 lb border collie (and impossible to break by hand). He's missing several teeth, so that's an issue too. We'll try the medium size next time.
We had dental issues with our other pup we got as a senior, so when we got a puppy we decided that dental care would be a huge priority. So along with brushing his teeth, he gets one of these a day and it might be his favorite part of the day! He loves the alligator ones. He gets so excited when he get one out for him and I am happy we found a product that not only do we like, but my pup does too
Our Gracie will not even nibble on these! She will smell them for a few seconds and then walk away. This box has all varieties and not a one of them will she take to. This product is not worth the money and did not live up to the advertising hype. They are bone hard and apparently do not have a flavor that creates interest. Would return if possible.
The Stix in this box of chews shatter into shards when dog is chewing them. Looks like a choking hazard.
Our dog loves these chews and they're one of the few VOHC approved ones that actually last a bit. Our 50 pound boy takes about 15 minutes to finish one of the large sizes. The only downside is the cost. Giving one of these chews a day easily adds up
My dog is allergic to a lot of food groups - corn, rice, oats, etc., so finding treats for him, especially dental treats is extremely challenging. I was really happy to see my dog wasn't allergic to any of the ingredients in Whimzees. Unfortunately, these treats caused him to vomit the next day, and he he hadn't vomited since he was a puppy a long time ago (and not because of his allergies). At first, I thought it wasn't related and gave it a second shot about a week later. It happened again - he vomited little peaces of Whimzees. You could tell the little peaces weren't digested in his stomach at all. I bought a box of 24 treats, and I'm not even sure if I want to give them away to anyone, as I don't want to make any other dogs sick. These will go straight to trash.
These made all three of my dogs vomit every single time they ate one of these. The vet told us they are more than likely all not allergic to the same ingredient since all three of my dogs are of different ages and breeds. I will not recommend these and am afraid to offer the rest to other dog owners not wanting to get their pups sick either.
My dog goes nuts for these!! They last a while too and keep him distracted for a bit!
Our dogs love these. Great for multi dog households!
