Are any of the ingredients sourced from China?

Answer by ChewyApr 05, 2023
This formula sources all ingredients from US suppliers if ingredients are available, grown or produced in the US. Some of the examples of ingredients we source outside of the US would be flaxseed which comes from Canada and lamb meal which comes from Australia or New Zealand. In Venture and UNREFINED lines of recipes, are sourced duck and rabbit meals from France and butternut squash from Central America. The vitamin premixes are formulated, sourced and blended in the United States by a US company in a human grade facility. All of ingredients are thoroughly tested and undergo many quality checks to insure safety and that all specifications are met.

I went through trying everything. I have been using this brand since my Dane was 5 months old. It was the only dog food that wouldn’t make him have diarrhea. After lots of vet visits and no help and just spending pointless money I decided to try him on adult sensitive stomach food. He is now 1 year and 4 months old and the only reason I am stopping is because he is no longer sensitive to all foods anymore and he is also no longer motion sick. This product being out of stock gave me the push to try him on other foods. But if anything goes wrong in the search I know I can use this again. Love this product. My cats also use this brand and that won’t change.

After opening recent bag, my GS cannot stop itching. Also he is farting a lot. He is normally not an itcher or a scratcher. . . or a farter. We are quiting this food and going to try something else. I can see here in recent reviews that there may in fact be some truth to them switching an ingredient or maybe even a supplier for an ingredient/s.

Recent Ingredient Changes?

My dog has been eating this for more than a year. The most recent bag we got has left him very itchy and with an upset stomach. Anyone know if there has been a change

I bought this brand once again, so our pet could try it again, since he used to like it but he tried it and spit it out. He refuses to eat it and I believe it's the texture because it looks and feels different than previous bags I purchased. I will need to call customer service to ask if it can be replaced with something different.

Excellent food and price!

I was looking for a fair priced dog food for a pity with skin issues. This has worked very well, and the price is excellent.

Vet recommended that I try something without chicken to see if it would help Sammie’s allergies. They don’t love it, but they will eat it. Cleo, who is becoming senior, has stayed a good weight and has a healthy coat; unfortunately it hasn’t improved Sammie’s allergies, but hasn’t made them worse.
