When transitioning to a new pet food, do so slowly over a period of about 7-10 days, mixing an increasing amount of new food with old food each day: Start with 75% old food mixed with 25% new food for approximately three days. Then mix 50% old with 50% new for approximately three days.

I have a chocolate lab 7 and Ava boxer mix and both hated this food. Ate it the first day when I started to mix to switch and ended up with diarrhea and vomiting. By the next night neither of them would touch the food. And they are not picky eaters. They still refuse to eat this dog food as well as their peanut butter and Smokey bone treats
My pitbull has skin allergies where her hair falls out in patches and she itches like crazy. Since switching to this brand, her skin has calmed down significantly. It’s been great on her belly too, she was having issues with previous brand of food-puking and diarrhea. It’s been over a month on this brand and so far so good!
After figuring out my border collie pup had chicken allergy, we went through several kinds of sensitive stomach foods trying to find one that helped her, landed on this one and it was such a difference for my pup. She has energy again and is putting in weight. Worth every penny.
My dog was having diarrhea with her old food, to the point where I had to get up with her 3-4 times a night so she didn’t have an accident. After just a few days of wholesomes sensitive skin/stomach, she did not have any more diarrhea! She also loves the lamb flavor.
Just switched my 4-yo pitbull to this good after his original food’s price started skyrocketing. He threw up every day eating this, even after the transition period (mixing his old food with the new one) was over. I stopped feeding him this food to see if he’d stop throwing up and immediately noticed a difference. I researched and found that dogs with chicken allergies and sensitive stomachs may not do well with lamb. Just be careful as my dog was not doing well with this kibble.
My 1 year old, 60lb pit bull deals with skin allergies all the time. We recently just moved so he was dealing with a lot of an anxiety and suffered from loose stool for about a week. Once I started him on this food, the dry patches he had on his skin are starting to fade away & his stool is now back to normal. I will be purchasing again. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it’s only been about a week now since he’s started this food.
Hello. I searched for a while for a dry dog food for sensitive skin issues for our dog and one without peas, potatoes or legumes due to DCM concerns and have finally found it with this Wholesomes Lamb Protein formula. Both of my dogs love it and their skin is much better. I only wish it was available in smaller bags than just 30 pounds. Thank you.
Lucy has allergies and her vet recommended purina sensitive skin and stomach we tried both meat sources it was always a struggle to get her to eat also her stomach was always upset. I finally decided we needed to make some sort of switch. I looked up sensitive skin and stomach and found wholesomes and after went through the switching process Lucy eats both meals with no trouble and so far no upset stomach!
This food has helped my white boxer with her allergies. After just a week, she's stopped scratching and digging at her ears. Also seems to keep her full longer, she doesn't seem as starving between meals.
We have a 6 year old German shepherd, husky mix and she has severe allergies. Before this food we would have to give her Benadryl daily and she would still scratch her ears and belly raw. She has been eating this food for about 6 months now and she has no more itchy skin or hot spots. She hasn't had to take Benadryl since she began this food. Plus, she loves the food! She isn't too picky but she really enjoys this food and the difference in her coat and skin is drastically better.
