I have some qualms about feeding this blend to my wild birds because of all the added ingredients (vitamins etc.) Are there any concerns about that? I feel good feeding natural pure seeds but this blend still interests me for the other ingredients. Thoughts?

Good mix for all kinds of birds

Mostly grackles. Grackles go nuts for this blend. They have chased off a squirrel for bits of fruit or sunflower seeds. These seeds also attracted a cardinal couple and a blue-jay to my backyard feeders! Wild rabbits can also eat most of this as well.

Extremely Good

This is definitely high quality food. It is mostly no waste, and there is none of the rancid or oddball cast-off ingredients some companies use in their "premium" foods. It's expensive, but if you join their frequent buyer club, you can get a free bag for every ten you buy.

You're not my security blanket

I was buying my favorite healthy bird feed from Giant and then they stopped selling it. Chewy came to my rescue and now I don't have to wondering whether I'd get a regular supply. Thank you for being so reliable. My birdies thank you and so do my deer. I have a Doyle's Wildlife feeder and they all love Nut N' Berry because its the best. Even my Naturalist says, that's the "Good Stuff".

Technical Issues

A good food for the birds but fruit elements tend to bloat in wet weather and get too large to move through the feeder and clog the feeding ports. The only way I have found to overcome this issue is to put the 'nut n' berry' in my food processor and chop it down to size before putting in the feeder. If you are using a 'tray' type feeder this wouldn't be a problem but for feeders with individual perches and serving ports it can require extra work. Otherwise, good for the birds and not as messy as other products.

birds go nuts for this!

this feed brings house finches, tufted titmouse, chickadees to our feeder - we even had a starling try to land on the feeder to get at it! works great on the ground as well - dark eye juncos, cardinals, and we even got a random pigeon throwing this feed out on the ground!

Very popular mix! Birds ate every bit!

This has to be one of my favorite seed mixes, but the price went up from the first time I bought it, and with the holidays and some medical bills, I had to opt for a different birdfood. I intend to reorder this one again though! It was wildly popular with several of our spoiled suburban birds. I was glad to see the bigger woodpeckers (Northern Flicker and Red-Bellied Woodpecker) along with the little Downy woodpeckers. There were, in addition, Bluejays, House Finches, Mourning Doves, Chickadees, Nuthatches, Tufted Titmice, English Sparrows, Juncos, and a whole bunch of Northern Cardinals, and a couple of goldfinch. Red-winged blackbirds show up on occasion, which I rarely see in backyards. So far, the grackles and starlings haven't showed up-- having mysteriously disappeared (and good riddance)in the late summer/early fall. In the past year, these birds tended to stay year round and completely take over. We have a baffle, so squirrels and chipmunks only get what the birds drop, or what I put out for them. They love the stuff too. I'm fact, the squirrels tried to drag away the entire tray, so keep that in mind if you do have problems with these furry fiends...I mean "friends". LOL Highly recommended, but if you have a feeder that has narrow slots or spaces for the seed to trickle down, the bigger berry and nut pieces will get stuck. It works beautifully in tube feeders, and any kind of basket type or tray feeder. I also add in some extra black oil sunflower seeds in the food, but EVERYTHING gets eaten.

Buffet Delight

We have 3 bird feeders filled with this seed. Every morning, and throughout the day, it's like a buffet table. We have cardinals, red wing blackbirds, doves, chickadees, blue jays, sparrows and sometimes other species that we can't identify. There is no waste, what is "kicked" out on the ground is consumed, often by several birds dining at the same time. We are in the Florida Panhandle and are delighted to finally get a no waste bird seed that all of our feathered family enjoy.

Where's the fruit???

If Kaytee is going to label this bag, seeds fruit and nuts PLEASE put more that 6 raisins per 10 lbs in the bag. I had to add my own dried berries.

Very popular with birds and squirrels

Good quality and a nice variety. Attracts cardinals, juncos, titmouses (titmice?), nuthatches, sparrows - even a pileated woodpecker!

Goes like crazy

My birds just love this food. It is premium food, so it does cost a bit. But it brings the birds to all my feeders daily. If you enroll in the Wild Delight program, after you buy 10 bags, you get 1 free through the manufacturer. Details are printed on the bag.
