About This Item

Details

  • Natural, organic wooden chew has no additives or caffeine—use it to strengthen your pup’s jaw muscles, support his digestion, and help clean his teeth and gums.
  • Handmade chew toy has rounded ends and is made from de-barked, smoothed wood.
  • Sustainably harvested wood chew comes in minimal and recyclable packaging that’s tied with coconut string.
  • Strong, durable coffee wood is safe for your pal’s teeth, but this toy may not be a good fit for very aggressive chewers.
  • Chew toy gradually breaks down into small, safe fibers and pieces, and the wood tends to flake into soft and safe pieces when mixed with your pooch’s saliva.

The coffee wood chew I’ve given my dogs in the past did not splinter, however, these I bought did splinter which was very concerning. I watch them closely with anything so I was able to take them away immediately, but I was concerned they might have ingested some. Fortunately, my dogs were fine. Won’t buy this brand again.

Pepper is a voracious chewer and I thought she’d love this. But not so much. Which is okay with me because it’s really messy, leaves shards of pieces all over. Decided

This item is listed "safe, strong and long-lasting", it was none of these. My dog annihilated it in minutes - pieces everywhere, zero durability, and honestly a safety hazard once it started falling apart. Save your money and do not put your pet at risk.

Big hit

My dogs love these and they’re a great alternative to yak chews which disappear in 15 min. Long lasting and great job cleaning their teeth

After spending a season fretting over my chew-happy dog cracking a tooth on antlers, a friend recommended coffee wood chews. Enter: Woodies! While we have had a couple crack/splinter on us, we acknowledge that's just part and parcel to working with organic materials. Most of the time we're getting a chew that my dog loves and I don't have to worry about! Some wood crumbles on the floor are a small price to pay for the peace of mind that my dog is satisfying his needs while not cracking his teeth. I also received absolutely excellent customer service when I messaged to ask about selling these in local stores! Really awesome people and really awesome chew. Thank you!

Great for super chewers!

My dog loves to chew on sticks and logs (yes, like firewood logs), which is problematic from a splinter perspective. This coffee wood stick answered my prayers!

My dog loves to chew on sticks and logs (yes, like firewood logs), which is problematic from a splinter perspective. This coffee wood stick answered my prayers! It crumbles away instead of splinters, and my dog can happily gnaw without coming away with bloody gums. My one critique would be it makes a bit of a mess - wood pulp mixed with drool - wherever my dog chews, so just be aware and don’t let your dog have it on anything you care a lot about.

Cracked down the middle

Didn’t even last a week. Was always monitor puppy with the bone but it cracked so quickly. Waste of money to be honest.

Splintered in minutes

The wood began to splinter in sharp pieces in a matter of a few minutes. Had to take it away.

Not for aggressive chewers

My dog cracked it in half the first time I gave it to her after only 5-10 minutes of chewing.

Very interested first time up...

But she got bored with it after three or four chewing sessions.
