What are the dimensions of the hole that the stick goes into?

Answer by JessaNov 12, 2025
It’s a diamond shape, so dimensions are tricky. The length between the tips of the diamond (the longest part) is 1.25 inches. The width is .75 inch.

I like it, she prefers to chew on it than with a bone.

The first time I gave this to her, she thought it was an extension of her bone. She snipped at me when I tried to move it to show her. She's never snipped at me. She has since then realized that this is NOT her bone. She is a bit annoyed at me that I put it in this. In some ways it is easier for her to use as it's perfect for her paws to hold and a 7" bully stick comes at a good height to eat. However, she likes to get it at just the right angle, and it's harder for her to do while it's in this. She is very independent so she doesn't like me trying to help her with the angle. Since then, she hasn't been as interested in her bully sticks if I put it in this. The initial one she'd been eating, she did eat fine in this. It does stay well. It is not 100% dog proofed. If they really try hard enough they can eventually get it out, but it is difficult. However, if you're watching them, there is no way you wouldn't notice them trying to do it for 20 minutes or so. My dog now just likes to burry this (as the picture shows). I also found her trying to eat this, since I took the bully stick out of it. While I thought it was funny she was trying to use this as her chew toy, I think it could chip a small tooth. It is a very durable and strong plastic. They can nibble on it while trying to get their bully stick, but I wouldn't really leave it out for them to chew on normally. If you have a larger dog, this likely isn't an issue. She just has tiny teeth.

My pitbull sort of chews her pizzle then shoves it down her throat. I was hoping this would allow her to enjoy pizzles again. Even though the pizzle was tightly in the Bullysafe, she eventually wrenched it out and swallowed the pizzle. Nice try though.

I have been a fan of Woof popsicle. However this one disappointed me. My dog is not a big chewer, and he can easily break the surface of the hard surface of the holder. The plastic with scratches can be sharp and I suspect it hurts my dog’s gum, causing some bleeding.

This is great for peace of mind that my dogs won't swallow bit pieces of bully sticks. The only con is that some bully sticks won't fit through here, they'll be just a tad too big, and some pieces might end up being so skinny that they can actually slide out at the tightest setting (happened once in the year we've had this).

Except for the capacity. These are perfect for holding the WOOF brand chews but is too small for a thicker sized chew, Jumbo for example, which is what I purchase, are not going to fit. However it has stood up to the enthusiasm of a Malinois and remained completely secure which is not nothing...but the chews...with the thinner size, don't stand a chance of lasting long.

A nice idea for a holder and to keep my dog safe

It's a little heavy for him he's a small dog and the bully stick is light but the holder I understand why it needs to be strong but it's heavy and he doesn't like

Worked well, did not hold up to chewing

I found this holder to be easy to use and it worked as intended. However it definitely requires careful monitoring as it did not hold up to my dog chewing on it
