I wanted to love these and my dog loves the pre made pupsicle treats, but about 60 seconds after my dog finished it, he ran to the door and threw up about 8 times back to back. I felt so bad for him and it kind of scared me because I thought he would never stop vomiting. Thankfully he was fine a few minutes later and hopefully will be for the rest of the night. When I made these treats they smelled pleasant out of the bag, but unfortunately these had to go in the trash.

Pupsicle Ball Container is a Nightmare to open

I have no problem with the balls themselves, but I do have a problem with the container. So I have so far ordered two Pupsicle ball containers for my 95 pound German Shepherd. The first problem with the Extra Large container was that the filler balls, even the extra large ones, were too small to let the dog lick them. So I ordered the Large container and the filler balls did fit better. But the main problem is once used the container lid gets stuck. I contacted the company and they said to soak it in boiling water and then roll it against the edge of the sink. That worked a few times, but as the rubber gets softer with use, the seal gets tighter. This happened with both pupsicle containers. We even tried rubbing olive oil on the threads before screwing the lid on. Also, if your dog hides the pupsicle, the filler balls do mold, so you do have to keep an eye on it. The dog likes it, it does keep the dog busy for 15 minutes or so. But, as I said, the containers are a nightmare. I've spoken to other doggie park friends, they all have the same problem with the Pupsicle.

My dog would throw this up instantly after digesting it. We gave it to her multiple times, and the same result- she would throw it up. I have a cavapoo but she is not this sensitive to food. Please be aware and keep an eye on your dog. There is some sort of ingredient that does not agree with her, could be the lavender. Not all ingredients for us humans are also dog friendly. I recommend avoiding.

My pop loves this mix. But since it's 75% water it doesn't last as long as the premade refills. My options are 1) changes the proportions of mix to water; 2) replace water with a denser liquid (soy milk?); 3) add a dollop of a solid to stretch it out (maybe greek yogurt or cottage cheese?). But she loves the taste and TBD on whether or not she's calmer.

BEWARE: I was skeptical to order since I knew you had to add water and freeze it but thought I would give it a try. They lasted 10 minutes because they melt. The calming one in particular is a blue purple color and when the dogs are licking it and it’s melting, it’s melting blue and purple. Stained my carpets terribly. DO NOT BUY if you only have carpets.

My dog loves her woof pupsicle!

The refill mixes make keeps her in supply much cheaper. In addition I follow the recipes that came with it and make our own using the molds as well.
