I've used this product on and off for a decade. It has saved a lot of sick cats. However, the formula has definitely changed in the last year. I finished my last bottle that I purchased over a year ago (it wasn't expired yet) and it had worked MIRACLES for my cat with IBS and my cat with food allergies. They were getting a sprinkle in every meal. When I got the new bottle I first noticed that it's a much lighter powder, it doesn't sprinkle out the same. It also doesn't appear to be as "concentrated", so I need to add a lot more to get the same consistency. I checked the ingredients while I still had the old bottle and they were only slightly different, but even with adding more, my cat with IBS started having mild stool issues (she gets bloody stool and diarrhea). Not as bad as when she has a flare up, but she hadn't had any issues while on the old formula. My cat with allergies had a reaction to the new bottle so I had to stop giving it to her completely. So disappointed that they would change such a great product. I may try one of the other powders and see if they help, but I am so upset because I had finally found something that worked for them and now it's gone.

PDG is an excellent product for my elder cats. At 19 years they use the bump of nutrients along with kibble and mixed in can food. They were raised on Wysong. It is a strong smell that PDG releases so hopefully you and your pets accept it. Read the ingredients. I put my girls on this about 1 year ago, sprinkle it on kibble (Geriatix) mix into canned foods (Halo Turkey or Salmon stew). Good foods!

Our cats love this supplement

I add this supplement to every meal. It encourages them to finish their food. They are 14 Years old and their appetites are not always as good as I would like and it helps much. I’ve used this powder mixed with warm water to make a gravey to put over their food and also with kittens. Wouldn’t be without it.

We ordered this for our senior cat to help him gain weight; I mix it in with his wet food and he eats it without problems or negative reactions, but his weight has only maintained after a few weeks of use and no gains, which is why I give it 4 stars. I will continue to feed it to him since he eats it and it provides him with supplements, I just wish his weight improved with its use.

I am devastated. I've been giving PDG to cats for years. It's been a lifesaver for my kitty, apollo, who has tummy issues. Sometimes he won't eat at all but when I give him the PDG he will start eating again. The last order I received was different. The powder was a lot finer and it smelled differently. Usually it's a little clumpy and you have to tap tap tap the bottle to get some out if you're using the sprinkle option. But this came pouring out so fast I had to take a lot out of the bowl. It didn't matter anyway because my kitty refuses to eat it. That's when I looked at the label and discovered there is coconut in it now. My bottle simply says coconut. Other labels may say hydrolyzed coconut. I thought maybe I was crazy but I researched and found one of the old labels on the internet and sure enough coconut was not listed. I did write Wysong about this. Meanwhile, my kitty is losing weight again and I am devastated. Very disappointed. I wish these companies would stop trying to "fix things that are not broken." Cats are extremely sensitive to any changes in their food or supplements. PLEASE FIX THIS, WYSONG!
