Designed to aid in the recovery of a cat or dog that is anorectic, undernourished, or otherwise debilitated.
Recovery of an animal that is anorectic, undernourished, or otherwise debilitated can often hinge on the ability to supply adequate nourishment, (to repair, restore, and build). PDG is a cat and dog supplement specifically designed to reflect this understanding and can be mixed with water to form a paste for force feeding if necessary.
It is made of a base of gently processed, concentrated meats and organs from various sources to provide the major natural proteins, fats, and calories. Vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and probiotic cultures are naturally derived, and provide nutrients to cat or dog in the form that its system was designed to recognize and utilize.

Most commercial pet foods include baseline vitamins and nutrients, but some may not have the adequate amount to suit your pet’s exact health needs. Like in humans, vitamins and supplements can help support your pet’s long-term health, regulating everything from digestion to muscle growth. Consult your veterinarian to determine the best vitamins and supplements for your furry friend.
It is recommended to give the suggested dosage based off your pet’s weight. Please refer to the Feeding Instructions tab and consult with your veterinarian for more information.

I am devastated. I've been giving PDG to cats for years. It's been a lifesaver for my kitty, apollo, who has tummy issues. Sometimes he won't eat at all but when I give him the PDG he will start eating again. The last order I received was different. The powder was a lot finer and it smelled differently. Usually it's a little clumpy and you have to tap tap tap the bottle to get some out if you're using the sprinkle option. But this came pouring out so fast I had to take a lot out of the bowl. It didn't matter anyway because my kitty refuses to eat it. That's when I looked at the label and discovered there is coconut in it now. My bottle simply says coconut. Other labels may say hydrolyzed coconut. I thought maybe I was crazy but I researched and found one of the old labels on the internet and sure enough coconut was not listed. I did write Wysong about this. Meanwhile, my kitty is losing weight again and I am devastated. Very disappointed. I wish these companies would stop trying to "fix things that are not broken." Cats are extremely sensitive to any changes in their food or supplements. PLEASE FIX THIS, WYSONG!
Try and find more complete nutrition boosters for less. It has enterococcus faceim (spelling?) which is a critical prebiotic for less runny stools and less poop odor.
Our cat, Hamish, got lost for two weeks and two days. He was so skinny and malnourished when we found him. This was recommended to help him get his strength and weight back. We mix it with some wet food and extra smartwater (for electrolytes). Two weeks on, he is doing well and he seems to really like the flavor.
The product PDG Dog & Cat Food Supplement is great! My Zoe kitty who is 15 years old has started to get a little belly, and has even started to play with some of her toys now too. I mix a 1/4 teaspoon in her morning canned food. I would recommend this product for a little "boost" to the normal food.
I got this for a picky, picky cat. I needed to add weight to her, but I also wanted her to have nutrients. I tried this mixed with water. She wouldn't touch it. I did, however, get to eat some mixed into wet food. She didn't love it, but she tolerated it.
I'm so excited that Chewy is selling Wysong! I've been a customer for years. Looking forward to using this to supplement my current dog's diet. Super high quality and a business that truly stands out above the rest!
My cat absolutely loves the taste. If you leave container out she will lick it. Helps her through food transitions due to mutiple allergies and formulation changes.
I have used PDG and given it to others who find themselves in an emergency situation with a pet. PDG saves lives! Most pets like it right away, others need a little encouragement before taking to it. But once they start eating the PDG... WOW! What a difference it makes! PDG will help a rescued animal recover from starvation/neglect, it will help an animal recovering from illness to regain their appetite, it will help nursing mums to keep up their weight. Used as a dry sprinkle over top of food or made into a gravy, it is easy to feed. PDG is something we keep on hand at all times.
Skylar recently diagnosed with IBD, and CKD II had lost several pounds because he was vomiting and barely eating. I began researching products to increase appetite and decided to try the PDG. For two months, I syringe fed him the product three times per day. The vomiting stopped and he is now always hungry. I plan to continue using the PDG because it improved Skylar's health and eliminated his digestive problems. I also plan to switch from dry and can food to a homemade diet because I believe the commercial foods caused him to develop inflammation in his organs.
Bought it to encourage my CRF cat to eat, and help to ensure adequate nutrition. Bonus, my other cats will now eating a variety of foods, canned, freeze dried and raw, if I sprinkle a little of this on top.
