Yaheetech Box Furniture with Open Shelf Cat Litter Box, White, Medium

Over all it is a nice piece of furniture. Lacking as a cat box. I am perplexed this company does not suppy a litter pan. Do they expect you to put litter directly on the wood?? How unsanitary that would be. It was a challenge to find a pan that would fit the dimensions of the box. When the pan arrived, its height partially blocked the opening. I had my husband cut the plastic pan and then glue the rim on. We didn’t want the cut edges left exposed. Also, I believe the interior should have been made waterproof. What a mess if your cat urinates outside of the litter pan. Since it is small, I think spillage can happen. We protected the interior by making an insert using cardboard covered with a plastic bag. This company took a table and just replace the door with an opening. They did not make this as a workable cat box. The very least, should have provided a litter pan which fits. I hope my picture shows our plastic covered cardboard insert and altered pan. The side of the pan obstructed part of the door opening. Had to cut the pan to fit. I would give zero stars if I could. Regret making this purchase. My fault for not checking if the interior provided protection from bathroom accidents. A box this small, your cat could pee over the pan sides. Once urine hits the wood, can’t remove the odor. The manufacturer didn’t take that into consideration. I do not find this to be a user friendly cat box and regret buying it. I would give no stars if I could.
