What secures this gate if used as a freestanding unit as shown in photo 1? What stabilizes it so the pup doesn't knock it over or pull it down?

The panels are designed to be connected to each other, the playpen should be set up to make a stable pattern so that the item can stand on its own and create a boundary for the dog. The playpen isn't anchored or secured to the ground, so it mostly suitable for pets that respect boundaries as it can be knocked over.

What is the linear length of both the 6 and 8 panel fences?

The linear length of the 6- panel is 150 inches, the linear length of the 8-panel is 200 inches and the linear length of the 12-panel is 300 inches.

Can you order extra panels if you decide you wish it were a little longer?

I set up this playpen indoors for my 8 month old pit mix puppy and she managed to jump out of it in less than 5 minutes. I have tile floor so there’s no way to make it stay in place and if your pup is active they will move it around easily. Very easy to put together. I would recommend this for a pup who isn’t very active and wouldn’t try to jump out.

LEFT THE FOOD, BEDS AND LITTER PANS IN THE ENCLOSURE AND THE KITS FELT SAFE IN THEIR ENCLOSED AREA. I REALLY LIKED THE FLEXIBILITY OF BEING ABLE TO CONNECT THE PANELS IN ANY SIZE AND CONFIGURATION I WANTED. IT'S WELL MADE AND THE PANELS CONNECT VERY EASILY. WOULD RECOMMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

This is a great, sturdy playpen. It’s modular so you can use as many or as little of the panels as you need. It did the perfect job of containing my two little Yorkies,

This is a great, sturdy playpen. It’s modular so you can use as many or as little of the panels as you need. It did the perfect job of containing my two little Yorkies, even one that has a pretty strong jump. My only complaint is the gate opening. There is a 6-inch or so step for the dogs to hop or step over in order to walk out. My dog is blind and so she isn’t able to simply walk out of the gate; I wind up helping her. It would be a nice enhancement to have the gate opening flush to the ground. Despite the gate clearance issue, I would purchase again and recommend this item.

We needed an enclosure to contain our Daschund-mix, while we were out of the house. She's about 10 months post-IVDD (spinal) surgery and can be pretty active with our Beagle. We had been putting her in her crate, but this is a much better solution for her. The pen is a decent size, so much that we used only 10 of the 12 panels to fit our space. It's very versatile, configuration-wise. Very pleased with this product. It fit our needs perfectly.
