The panels and gate are sturdy, well made, and exactly as described. I’m very happy with the overall quality. My only critique is that the included stakes are extremely flimsy. For better stability, I purchased heavier-duty stakes that can be driven into the ground, which made a big difference. It might be worth the manufacturer either upgrading the stakes (even if it raised the price slightly) or keeping them as is for people who don’t need to mount the fence. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this kit because the panels and gate themselves are excellent!

I use this fence indoors to block off a new rug and couch. My three dogs spend 8 hours a day, 5 days a week entertaining themselves while I'm at work and I just don't want to take a chance that they won't pee or chew on things. This fence is perfect for that. It physically keeps the dogs out of the area and it looks good too.

Flimsy Stake Inserts

We have had several dog pens in the past. This one is by far the flimsiest and most frustrating to put together and keep together. Most of the dog pens we have used

We have had several dog pens in the past. This one is by far the flimsiest and most frustrating to put together and keep together. Most of the dog pens we have used have thick, stakes to keep the panels together. This one is hardly a centimeter wide and bends SO easily. Three of the stakes were bent upon first use to the point they were unusable. Also, this only works when the ground is completely level. If it has one small slope, it's impossible to keep together or keep upright. Super disappointed, and too big of a pain to package up and return. Certainly would not recommend for outdoor use.

Sturdy, but light enough to be manageable

Problems with this one...

Positives: Th 8-panel provides a very spacious play area I don't think my climber (mini poodle) could climb out. I like that you can order one taller than 40 inches. Easy

Positives: Th 8-panel provides a very spacious play area I don't think my climber (mini poodle) could climb out. I like that you can order one taller than 40 inches. Easy to put together. Negatives: One of the locks still works, but not correctly (I need to *really* make sure it's locked when closing it), so it broke in less than 3 months. I'm not sure how this can be used outside- you can't shove the stakes into the ground. I don't like how high my puppy needs to jump to get into it! He keeps hitting his foot (for this reason alone, I am getting something with a lower entrance). It's clearly not as durable as some of the other playpens, unfortunately. Also- why 2 locks?? It is much more difficult to walk up to the playpen, holding your puppy, and put the puppy inside. Another negative. Overall, I can't say I would recommend this playpen.
