what are the magnesium and sodium levels?

There is bamboo fiber in the food. This is not common. Can you tell me what type of bamboo it is. I know certain types are toxic to cats. Thank you

Zeal Canada produces their bamboo fibers from edible species of bamboo Phyllostachys and Bambusa sp., from the bamboo shoots not older than one year. These products do not contain any additional substances and the only ingredient is fiber.

We have a 14 year old girl kitty named Sammi. She is somewhat newly diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. She is on transdermal medication, which is working well, and we are trying to get her to eat more to gain back some weight. This cat food is very well received by our Sammi. When I bring her a fresh plate of it, she runs to get to it. It is somewhat soft which makes it easier for her to eat. The pieces are also small in size which helps her to more easily get it in her mouth. We call this food a win for all of us. Highly recommend this for your picky eater.

I had high hopes for this product. I really thought my 2 cats would like it. I followed the suggested instructions saying to introduce it slowly by mixing it with their current food. Both cats ate their normal kibble, picking it out from the Zeal salmon and turkey I mixed in with it. I tried putting some in a small separate dish and it sat there for days without them touching it. I didn’t want to give this a one star because maybe my cats are just being overly fussy. I will give it to a friend and maybe her cat will eat it.

Shosho won’t eat it as a meal but loves it as a treat! He’s weird but I view this as a win. When I give him a few pieces or put a small handful in a toy he goes right for it. However, I think this is kibble - if I put the same amount right in his plate he won’t touch it. It’s celebration food for him! Would definitely get it again for a treat.
