Not for everyone

I tried the Zealandia Venison Grain-Free Pate Wet Cat Food with a select group of my cats ranging from one to ten years of age. Aside from one of them, none are usually particularly picky or sensitive to foods, especially not with wet food. However, even though very interested in the beginning, half of them barely ate any of it, and even though I gave them about half a can per cat (with some of them being rather big), half of the bowls still had food left in them after the cats were done and walked away. Also, the food apparently did not agree with all of them as it caused very loose stool in at least one of them. So, even though I appreciate the clean and healthy ingredients, that are said to be hormone free for example, I don't think this product is for us. The texture is also firmer and little dryer than many pates which made it difficult to fill out of the can and also difficult for my older cat (with minor tooth issues) to eat. So, all in all, I really wanted to love it but don't see it as a good fit for my fur family.

The cat loved the venison flavor, and the serving size is massive so he is more than content with how much food he gets. I normally do half wet food and half dry but I think these ingredients are more filling because he only ate about half of his normal before he decided he was full.
