Zignature Duck Limited Ingredient Formula Dry Dog Food, 4-lb bag

If the first ingredient isn't meat I won't even think about buying it. And I don't mean for example, Duck-by-products, or Chicken-by-products, etc. My German Sheperd Dogs are doing well on this food. Their first meal of the day is a real fresh food meal, I grind up raw chicken legs or thighs, fresh beef hearts or beef liver, blinded fresh veggies, primarily beets, Cauliflower, zucchini, broccoli, celery, with a small number of blueberries all blended into a slurring that I pour over the meat and stir it up. The 2nd meal late afternoon is Zignature. Zignature apparently knows that essential fatty acids they add to their Kibble is very fragile and must be protected or it will go rancid. Light, high temperatures, and oxygen can cause them to go rancid, and Dr. Ian Billinghurst said rancid fats are damaged fats, and damage fats damage your dog.

My 3 dogs got severe diarrhea during the second week of switching them to this food. I am very unhappy with the effects of this food on my dogs. The vet recommended not to feed them this anymore.

Initially I had to encourage her to eat since I have been jumping around with main ingredients. I’ve been trying to see which one helps with the allergies and skin issues that come with rescued puppy mill dogs. So far Zignature has proven to be the best all the way around!
