Right now it’s too soon to tell if this food is helping or not. I have 3 dogs and one is a frenchie with very itchy skin constantly. Since we switched to zignature kangaroo 2 of my dogs became very gassy and it smells BAD. All my dogs seem to be much thirstier and my frenchie is spitting up water and small pieces of the food now. Prior to this food my frenchie had these issues but we had him on freeze dried dog food that seemed to end him spitting up. Now he’s doing this again. I’m at my wits end trying to find something that works with all three dogs. Hopefully in a couple weeks I will see more positive results. I read so many reviews and thought this was going to be the food for my dogs. It’s so hard to figure this all out and feeding 3 dogs fresh cooked food is just so expensive. I was doing that for almost a year and everything seemed to be good till the itching started again.
Due to new issues with my newly adopted dog I transitioned him to this diet. I have been feeding my other rescue dog the small bites for almost 2 months due to gastritis related to her first 4 years in a Tennessee puppy mill. Her situation is almost 100% normal so I immediately decided to put the new dog on it and hope the results I am seeing so far continue. The small bites have been difficult to get recently so I have been giving the smaller dog the regular size kibble and, due to losing some teeth, she appears to eat the larger size just fine, so I will probably end up feeding them both this size. Moving a dog to a totally new protein due to intestinal issues takes time and patience.
So disappointed in this product. Would give zero stars if able. From the reviews, it sounds like this is the best dog food in the world- NOT! My dog had extremely bad breath from eating this food when she would eat it. The moment this bag is opened it smelled horrible. The kibble is a dark greenish black color. Not appealing at all for dog or human. Looks like going back to pro plan. What a waste of money.
Hi. Unfortunately, Bella refused eating the Zignature Kangaroo Formula after the second feeding. She went for days without eating. I finally purchased her original food again. She ate immediately. I threw out the entire bag except for 2 cups. Bella was unimpressed with the food. Thank you!
Very disappointed the Kangaroo as primary protein did not help my Boxer with his skin problems. That's why I rated a one star. I'm still hopeful this brand will help him because of their limited ingredients. We are moving on to the catfish. Pray this will help him with his skin problems.
Finally a dog food that has eliminated digestive, stool issues caused from food allergies. Best of all, she loves it.
Hi, I ordered this food as well as the Zignature kangaroo treats because my newly adopted dog, Bria, was diagnosed with a skin infection, most likely food related. I decided to try a protein that I know she's never had before (I know this from previous experience) I thought she would like it and eat anything since she was a rescue but to my surprise, she does like it I am at my witts end trying to find her a food/protein that she's never had and likes
My dog was on this food for a few years. Over 6 months ago his vet discovered a heart murmur. She did an X-ray and his heart was enlarged. Keep in mind He was completely healthy leading up to this. She suggested stopping his food immediately which I did. She explained that dogs do not need a grain free diet, so I switched to Natures logic beef. In 6 months time his murmur is gone and his X-ray showed his heart is back to normal size. More than one doctor listened to him to make sure there was no murmur. It is sickening that these foods are being pushed on our dog because we humans sometimes need a grain free diet. Zignature was on the list that came out years ago about causing heart issues. I chose to ignore it thinking it was likely something else or wouldn’t happen to my dog. Anyhow do some research before choosing your dogs food is all I can say.
I love this food for my dog with a sensitive stomach. The only draw back is the price.
This food saved my dog as he was allergic to chicken however after approximately two years on it, he started having gas and loose stools. Unfortunately trying to find something else.
