Zignature Puppy Formula Pate Canned Wet Dog Food, 13-oz can, 12 count

I have a puppy that is incredibly picky when it comes to food (dog food, not human food 😅) and hates the kibble we bought him. That being said, he loves this food. We have been mixing one whole can of this pate in with his kibble to get him to eat it because we have a lot of it (kibble) and don’t want it to go to waste. I do love that the Zignature puppy food has multiple protein sources with no “meals” or by-products. I also love that it has omega 3, omega 6, and DHA in it. (Do dogs need omega 9?) For personal reasons, I wish they would switch the pork for a different protein source, but that’s not a huge deal. The reason I gave this pate 4 stars, however, is because of two other ingredients in it. It is considered a “limited ingredient” food but it has peas in it, which I was told by our vet is a high allergen food for many dogs. Perhaps they should/could pick out a different food item to replace peas. It also has “natural flavor” listed as an ingredient, which I don’t like in human or dog food. Do the research on natural flavors if you want to know more, but it shouldn’t be in any food, in my opinion. With the various protein sources in this pate, I doubt natural flavors are even needed to get the dog to eat it. I wish they would remove it. Unless I can’t find a healthier wet food that my dog likes, I probably won’t buy this food again.
