My dude is picky but loves this food. His shell has improved but it does make the water murky. I just have to clean his water more often, which I don't mind.

Made the water dirty

Charlie likes the taste but the morning after feeding the water is discolored. Very dirty. The pellets don't float long at all

I like that they’re made with natural ingredients and don’t have any artificial stuff. The protein from black soldier fly larvae and shrimp meal keeps my turtles

I like that they’re made with natural ingredients and don’t have any artificial stuff. The protein from black soldier fly larvae and shrimp meal keeps my turtles active and healthy, and the added probiotics seem to help with digestion too. One thing I really appreciate is how the sticks float and don’t fall apart—way less mess to clean up, and the tank stays clearer. Plus, they don’t make the water smell gross like some other foods I’ve tried. I even give them to my salamanders as a treat sometimes, and they seem to enjoy. Definitely recommend these if you want a reliable, clean, and nutritious food for your aquatic buddies!

Imagine NOT having to handle worms, dead shrimp, stinky dead fish, live bugs, live fish, and so on in order to enjoy the companionship of a healthy aquatic turtle. Imagine having easy-to-grab pellets that actually float on top of the water: harder to spill or drop, easier to clean up if there is extra (never was extra for me because my turtle ate them all up quick!). These pellets are nutritionally complete to the best of my knowledge. They have better than 25% protein, and also contain Vitamins A/B/D/E, Calcium, Copper, Iodine, Phosphorus, Selenium, Thiamine, and Zinc. What more could you want?!

I have an Eastern musk turtle. Saw this product that has shrimp (which she likes) and black soldier fly larvae. Figured give it a try since she eats mostly carnivorous

I have an Eastern musk turtle. Saw this product that has shrimp (which she likes) and black soldier fly larvae. Figured give it a try since she eats mostly carnivorous diet. Has a very good smell, can tell that its fresh. Half the pellets sank immediately. My girl won't eat it. I offered it several days to see if she just needed to get used to it. Unfortunately mine didn't like it, but I believe other species of aquatic turtles would. Nutrition seems good by label. Only reason for giving 4 stars is my turtle wouldn't eat it.

I've been using Zilla Aquatic Turtle Sticks for a while now, and my turtle absolutely loves them. They're easy to feed, float well on the water, and don’t cloud the tank like some other brands I’ve tried. The sticks are a great size for my turtle to grab and chew, and I like that they’re formulated with vitamins and minerals for balanced nutrition. I’ve noticed my turtle’s shell and overall energy seem healthier since switching to these. It's also nice that the bag is resealable.

The shape and color of these food sticks for my red eared sliders look the same as many others - so my turtles were accustomed to that. They didn't fall apart quickly

The shape and color of these food sticks for my red eared sliders look the same as many others - so my turtles were accustomed to that. They didn't fall apart quickly when put in the water, which is good because my turtles don't necessarily eat them right away. When I returned 20 minutes later a few, not all were eaten. They usually have a hearty appetite, so I wasn't sure if it was that feeding or not. The next day they were all eaten.

Both my turtles don't seem to be crazy about ZILLA AQUATIC TURTLE STICKS. They tried them the first time, spit them out & begged for tbeir FLUKERS BUFFRT BLEND. I have never seen Spice & Slider so darn picky before. I thought they would like these because they do have a "shrimp" ingredient, but no. I still have to provide them their river shrimp. Thank you for the sample. I will donate it.
