These turtle chasers only float briefly then they sink. My turtles are 31 years old and treats are way too big for them to bite! They then sit on the bottom of their tank and make it dirty
I have had two Red-Eared Slider female turtles for 10+ years, they each live in a 125 gallon aquarium and they both LOVE, LOVE these- I bring this information up to attest to a lengthy history of having turtles. The treats, indeed, do float and they are hard as rocks, but, once they're in the water a bit and my two girls use their naturally given, powerful beaks (RES's have beaks! I don't know about other turtles), they demolished them. Even if the treats begin to sink down my girls race after them because they love these so much. Just one turtle Mommy's experience - I've bought dozens of bags.
Had to change water after putting one of these in for my turtle.
Mando loves them!
Our turtles love them. They are stinky but they do float long enough for the turtles to chase them!
I bought this item for my baby aquatic turtle. I was excited because it was supposed to float for my turtle to chase, but it immediately sank to the bottom and disintegrated. I then had to clean his cage out because it was had chunks of one of the “treats”.
These treats are a little stinky but are a fun treat for turtles to have. Mine love them.
My RES turtle likes these treats but they have two issues: 1) They are sold in a plastic bag that often gets crushed during transport so some treats become nothing but dust. 2) They say they float but, only about 50% of the shrimp treats float and the clam ones never do. If these two issues were resolved, I would recommend the product. But unless they can at least make them float so my turtle can bite at them, they are useless. So I do not recommend them at this time.
I bought these because they said they float. I should have read the reviews first. It sank to the bottom after about 2 seconds. I will not be getting these again. Maybe one of the fish or my turtle will find it at the bottom.
