The Turtle Sludge Destroyer is safe for all aquatic pets including turtles, frogs, newt, fish, etc. It contains only the live bacteria that break down the sludge and these bacteria are completely nonpathogenic and completely safe for all life.
How long until you see results

This is a biological product, which means that the sludge reduction goes by the speed of the bacteria within the product. Depending on the temperature, pH, salinity, the dose used, and other factors the speed of action may change. Typically though, a difference will be seen after a few weekly applications.
