I love this bulb for a nighttime heat source. Blue blubs don't seem to give off enough heat and burn out at an alarming rate. I decided to use this 50 watt red bulb for my bearded dragon's nighttime heat. It does not disappoint. My guy is a rescue, and i keep it pretty cold in my house. But, his tank temp didn't drop below 80F no matter how cold i set my own thermostat. The red light doesn't affect him at all. He's currently in a 40gallon breeder. 50watts is sufficient. However if you have a larger enclosure i would recommend a higher wattage bulb.

This is a good reptile bulb. I like the fact that I can turn it on for hours and Lizzie's tank doesn't get so hot that she moves all the way to the other side of her tank. It's pretty small, 75 watts, but fits in my already-owned bulb holder well. It doesn't stay cool to the touch so be mindful of that.

This Zilla bulb is perfect for my turtles. I have 2 and they have a whole bathroom to themselves. They soak in the tub and roam free as they like. I have this bulb at about waist height and they bask nicely from the floor. They seem to love it ! It gives them the perfect amount of light and heat.
Good for limited viewing at night

The Zilla red light heat bulb works well for night viewing. The 150 watt red spot light keeps an even temperature for my bearded dragon's hot zone. He can easily chill out on the cool side of his tank so it's easy for him to regulate his temperature. I have to add that recent studies show that red light interferes with the circadian rhythm of reptiles. I alternate between the Zilla red spot & a ceramic bulb.
Works great for some species
The light works good but I don’t think it’s a good fit for my home. Both my bearded dragon and my corn snake each hid from it. I think the light bothered them as

I think the light bothered them as they seem to just prefer darkness and their heat mats. The light is probably great for different species but unfortunately not for what I have.

Long lasting bulb
I bought the 100w bulb for my leopard geckos. Now that its cold I needed a higher wattage bulb. I love this brand of bulbs. They're long lasting in my experience
