I have a 60lb hyper Staffordshire terrier and an 8olb senior lab mix. I've never purchased these kinds of toys before but they love it! They have destroyed other toys but not these, they actually surprisingly use them appropriately. My staffie is the kind of dog that brings sticks in the house and chews them apart but surprisingly these are untorn and lasting, she seems to enjoy the squak. She has many other toys that I think with her options she doesn't have to destroy these. Anywho, I think it's cute when both my lady dogs get excited and decide to pull the lil toys out of the toy holding the rest. I highly recommend, it's good for their mind.
This toy is adorable and fun. So much fun that my puppy destroyed the tree in less then 5 minutes of getting it trying to get the chipmunks out. Stitching is not durable for a bigger dog or a dog that is focused on getting the chipmunks out whatever it takes. I really was hoping it was quality because it is cute. That is the only reason I gave it 1 star. I wasted my money and wish I could be refunded but I learned a lesson not to buy company’s product again. Photo is just one of the areas ripped apart before I had to hide it.
I have a 40 lb, 2 year-old doodle. In less than 5 minutes, he'd pulled the tail off one of the chipmunks and presumably ate it while I was making coffee in the kitchen. He also ripped open the log. The toy is very cute, but I wouldn't buy it for active chewers. Fortunately, I was nearby and mostly supervising, or we might have ended up at a pet ER.
Toy says for Large dogs and our 6.5 month old GSD puppy loves games so I thought this looked like a win! However, he pulled the chipmunks out of two holes and 15 minutes later the log was a pile of foam in our living room :-( The chipmunks are still living and being thrown around and hidden in the room but wish this would have lasted longer I have photos but this service has a size requirement that I cannot get them into (probably on purpose to make it difficult to add photos)
...these are really cute and i wanted to like them...the hide and seek feature intrigues my pup...but the chipmunk toys are not for dogs that actually 'play' with or chew on their toys...they are flimsy and easily torn apart...the ears are very thin felt (not what is shown in this photo) and easily pulled off...if the dog simply carries the toys around they are probably ok...i do use the log with sturdier toys/balls...
My English Setter is a big chewer and has destroyed most toys within minutes. This one has peaked her interest and she loves searching for the chipmunks! It’s been a month and still holding strong!
At first, my dogs didn't know what to do with it. But, once they figured out the fun in finding and getting the squirrels out of the log, they couldn't stop!! So fun to watch!
This toy is super high quality, the details are beautiful and it will take a lot of chewing. I'll spend the holidays teaching my pup how to play with it. In the meantime she has been playing with the chipmunks.
My cute little Cockapoo got this as a Christmas gift. While the log is fun, the stitching on all three animals is very weak. They are already in poor condition in less than a weeks time.
My Shepsky puppy was just diagnosed with hip dysplasia and we love this game. He still wants to zoomie around and jump and go crazy at times and he isn't able to do that so we use this to keep him busy without running or jumping. He loves it. I will buy more. I highly suggest for dogs with any kind of restrictions as far as not getting rowdy etc.
