Bought this for my boy a while back after his other squirrel toy was on its last leg. First impression was great. It was a nice size, much larger than what I had thought it would be, and felt nicely made. My boy loved it immediately! Now, he isn't destructive, a heavy chew, or a rough player when it comes to his stuffed toys, but I was very saddened that in less than a week the seam on the arm had torn. It wasn't bad, so I let him keep it but then a few days later, another seam in the leg tore as well and he had pulled some stuffing out. I have it put up for now and intend to attempt to fix it, but am disappointed that it didn't hold up longer than I had anticipated it to. The seams appear to be the weaker points, especially around the arms/legs. If you can take the some to check and maybe reinforce those areas, it might hold up for those who don't play very rough.
Super cute toy for our Goldendoodle who is obsessed with the real ones. It's reasonably sturdy but has required some "surgical repairs" since I purchased it 3+ months ago. That's not exactly a negative reflection on it though because our girl and my husband like to play "tug" together quite a bit, despite my protests that "this is NOT that kind of toy..." and pleas to find a more appropriately designed toy for that activity! Overall, I enjoy looking at this one as much as she enjoys playing with it--it's definitely in the top three of her toy rotation.
This will be a gift for a very deserving dog...just adopted. She doesn't know how to play even though she is an adult dog. Maybe this squirrel will bring out the puppy in her. I hope so.
I thought this toy would have better reinforced sticking because of the good reviews. But it lasted only 4 days with our 4 month old Goldens. They loved it. And they killed it.
Once she tore the tag off, the next thing she went after was the squeaker. It took her most of the day, but she managed to get a hole into the main body. The squeaker was out the next day......Happy puppy!
