What happened to having Chondroitin SulFate in all the ziwi canned food flavors? Now it’s just in the Hoki flavor? This ingredient made a world of difference for my 16 year old and was the reason I bought Ziwi.

All Ziwi recipes include a minimum of 3% New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussels, a natural source of glucosamine and chondroitin which support long-term joint health.
Why does ZIWI Peak use chickpeas in.their wet cat food? Wouldn't this consist of a cheap filler considering its high up on ingredients list?

Ziwi determined after feeding trials that most pets prefer canned foods with loaf-like texture. To achieve this consistency in canned foods containing large amounts of meat, some type of binder is required. Chickpea has natural binding properties, is high in protein and provides digestive benefits for both dogs and cats. The inclusion of chickpea has only increased the carbohydrate content by an average of 1.8% on an as-fed basis, and only half of the total carb content is from chickpea. The balance of the carbohydrate was already existing in their recipes and provided by their meats and kelp.

The ingredients label doesn't appear to be shown. Does the Mackeral and Lamb contain any chicken or poultry?
