What wattage is the lamp itself ?

I’ve used this lamp for years and it’s an excellent lamp. The problem now is you are unable to get the avian 5.0 UVB any more due to the restrictions imposed by the last administration on the use of fluorescent bulbs. I emailed Zoo Med zoomed@zoomed.com they replied at this time the avian bulb is no longer approved for sale . I’ve tried all over with no luck finding a replacement avian bulb .

does the bulb come with

The bulb is not included and is sold separately.

Is this like an actual floor lamp or is it really only 20 in tall?

How many inched from top of the cage shoukd it be,

The Avian Sun bulb needs to be placed 14 inches from your bird's head on its highest perch. The distance over the top of the cage will depend on this distance.

Easy assembly and easy adjustment for cage height.

The light shines directly on her and not in our eyes. She now seems to wait for it to be turned on and she seems much happier!! Small and non intrusive to the room

Nice lamp to keep my bird healthy!

We adopted a pigeon who is not able to be released outside, as she was raised in captivity. This light has a stable base. And I purchased a special 2.4% uv light

We adopted a pigeon who is not able to be released outside, as she was raised in captivity. This light has a stable base. And I purchased a special 2.4% uv light bulb for birds to keep her Vitamin D levels adequate. This helps to avoid egg binding and prevents Vitamin D deficiency. The lamp casts a pleasant glow and it is not too bright or hot. However, I would not recommend this for birds who chew on random objects.

Great customer service
