Can you use these if there is no filter in the tank? What size tank can be used with these?

These can be used with a non-filtered tank. They can be used in a variety of sized tanks made for Betta fish and last one week.

Can you use this with other types of fish like a gold fish?

These banquet blocks are only intended to be used with Betta fish and Tropical freshwater.

If you only go away for a few days can you take the remainder of the block out and let it dry and use it another time?

The blocks when they are placed in the water start to dissolve. When you get home if it is not fully dissolved and you take it out it will be very soft and may not dry out well enough to use it again. It is recommended using a new block and throwing that one away.

Does not dissolve

I got this to feed my betta while out of town, and I'm glad I tested it before going. It did not dissolve into food as advertised, so it would not feed my betta

Made a mess

I initially got these to have on hand in case we were gone for extended times. I wanted to try one to see what it would do and I was very disappointed in what transpired

I initially got these to have on hand in case we were gone for extended times. I wanted to try one to see what it would do and I was very disappointed in what transpired. It took about two days and it started, This is what I’m calling it, melting. My beta was not interested in it at all. It looked like it was melting on the rocks. Because she was not interested in it I cleaned it out with a net and ended up having to throe away some of the rocks because it was so goopy.

Worked like a charm

We went out of town for 4 days and used this food. When we got home it lasted about 3 more days. So it really is a 7 day release. It worked great for our needs
