Does this require purchase of a hood as well? Should it be placed on top of the mesh or put inside the enclosure?

The Zoo Med Reptisun LED Reptile Light Fixture with Sunrise & Sunset Timer is already a full hood. We typically recommend placing all hoods over the top of a screen top and not inside the enclosure.

Auto timer with sunrise sunset

It's sleak minimal design doesn't take up room above the terrarium. It's nice and bright but can be adjusted and the auto set up for the timers is a really great

It's sleak minimal design doesn't take up room above the terrarium. It's nice and bright but can be adjusted and the auto set up for the timers is a really great feature starting out dim and getting bright or at night slowly dimming down. The only thing is that it does produce a decent amount of heat and I wish it didn't.
