This heater cannot be buried under substrate.
Can this be mounted on the ceiling of an enclosure?

This habitat heater is designed with Mounting rails molded into heater allow for secure placement on the floor or side of the enclosure.

ReptiTherm Habitat Heater

Exactly what I expected. We'll see how much BP (Border Patrol) likes it as the weather heads into winter. BP is a Sulcata, his shell measures 16" long x 14" wide, haven't weighed him because I can't lift him. He lives in a habitat outside. Here in California, we don't have extreme cold, I used a heat pad designed for dogs last winter and it didn't "weather" well.

nice way to heat

So fare working great my tortoises seem to like it a lot going to need another has they get bigger tho trying to find a way to keep them out doors year round so hopefully this is a start to helping

Looks nice and durable but wasnt heating up

I used to it to assist my CHE heat lamp and assumed it was working because the little red status light was on, once the CHE went out it was cold and did not heat up and I dont know how long I was unaware it wasnt working. It definitely should have lasted longer than it did. I am not happy with it.

Pricing of heater

The product is great my tortoise loves it. When I ordered it the price was $80 two days later the price was $60 dollars. Just now the price was $68. A little upset I got the high price.
